Board game Ruff. Board game Ruff Alcoholic: review, rules, videos, task cards, tips Ruff the bear has come

Board game "Ruff"

Hello, dear readers of my blog! Today I want to introduce you to one of the most unusual and very fun board card games. Why is she unusual? Yes, because one of the main conditions for participation in it is the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

For this reason, playing Ruff is not recommended in the presence of minor children. But if in If you have a group of adults who don’t mind having a drink with friends, then this board game will help you diversify your meetings and make them not just fun, but also unforgettable. Intrigued? Then remove the children from the monitor and immerse yourself in reading the review.

My review of the board game "Ruff"

Contents of the game "Ruff"

The set is packaged in a nice thick cardboard box. I was very pleased with the external design of the packaging, not only with the design, but also with the text component, which makes you smile at the first glance at the box with the game. For example, where, logically, there should be a warning about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption, there is a funny “Nobody reads this text anyway, so we won’t warn.” The developers have a good sense of humor. Inside the box you will find:

  • 94 task cards;
  • 48 cards with useful bonuses;
  • 8 polar bear cards;
  • booklet with the rules of the game.

It is worth noting the impeccable quality of the entire set. The cards are medium in size and quite dense.

Absolutely every task or bonus card is accompanied by a thematic illustration made with a great sense of humor. There are also no complaints about the colors and print quality.

Rules of the game

Before you start playing Ruff, you should learn its rules. However, they are not complicated, and a quick read is enough to allow you to play without constantly being distracted by clarifying certain nuances. The developers recommend sitting down to “Ruff” with a group of 4-9 people, as a smaller number of participants will significantly reduce the degree of fun.

Before you take out the cards, you should decide what drinks and snacks to consume during the game. Moreover, if there are different types of alcohol and food on the table, then each participant has the right to choose the combination that is most preferable for himself. For example, vodka and cucumbers. Or cognac and lemon. Carefully calculate your strength when choosing drinks and the type of snack, as they cannot be changed during the game. You should also immediately determine the amount of “penalty” that a participant who fails to complete the task or refuses will have to drink.

After this, you can proceed directly to the game. After removing the cards, thoroughly shuffle the deck with bonuses and place it face down on the table. Place the seven bear cards in the stack of task cards and shuffle them too. Place the last white bear at the very bottom of the second deck, after which it should also be placed face down on the table.

The game begins! The most sober participant (or chosen by lot, as an option) takes the first card from the deck with tasks and reads out loud what he must do. After this, he either completes (or tries to complete) the task, or refuses it and drinks a “penalty drink”. In the latter case, he passes his card to the next player. If he completes the task, then the card remains with him, and he, in turn, draws two bonus cards and takes a new task. The one who managed to avoid the “penalty” the first time takes the top bonus from the corresponding deck as a reward and keeps the card with the phantom.

It should be noted that the tasks here can be very different, from sending SMS to any number in the phone book and ending with reciting the alphabet at speed or listing countries that have a certain color on their flag. Some of them you can do without even thinking, while others will force you to use your entire arsenal of creative tricks. You can refuse a call without penalty only if you have certain bonuses.

Also, in the general deck with tasks there may be a “bear”. The player who drew the card with the image of a polar bear must loudly announce: “The polar bear has arrived!”, giving a signal to the other participants, who must hide under the table as quickly as possible. The one who was slower than the rest is given a card with a bear, which is accompanied by the words “The polar bear has left.” Then the game resumes.

Other nuances of “Ruff”:

  • bonuses cannot be shown to other players until you decide to use a specific card, for example, to refuse a task;
  • all task cards have numbers in the upper right corner - these are sobriety points, which are counted at the end of the game;
  • “polar bear” takes away 5 sobriety points from the participant who has it;
  • if a player refuses a task, then he must not only drink a “fine”, but also return all available bonuses to the deck, placing them at the very bottom of the pile;
  • if two participants in a row fail to complete the task indicated on the card, it is sent to the end, and the next player takes a new card from the deck;
  • the game continues until one of the participants pulls out the last “polar bear”, which is at the very bottom of the pile of tasks;
  • used bonuses are added to the bottom of the corresponding deck;
    bonus cards can be exchanged with other players, luring them out of bonuses, drinks or tasty snacks;
  • At the end of the game, all participants remaining on their feet count their sobriety points - whoever has more wins.

Oh yes! One more tiny point. Before starting the game, make sure that within the next half hour you will not need to go to the toilet, the corridor or somewhere else. Because leaving the room during the game is prohibited, unless it is necessary to complete a task. Cruel? May be. But you can’t even imagine how fun and unnoticed those thirty to forty minutes allotted for the “Ruff” game fly by!

Game Features

Despite the fact that I cannot be called a fan of alcoholic drinks, I really liked this game! And there are several reasons for this, including:

  • fascination. 94 fun tasks of varying degrees of difficulty will not let even the most sober participant get bored;
  • humor and imagination of developers. Have you ever drunk without using your hands from a glass on the floor? How about knocking on your neighbors asking to borrow soap and rope? The creators of "Ruff" provoke players to the most unforgettable alcoholic madness within the framework of safety, decency and laws;
  • funny illustrations of each game card;
  • an opportunity to get to know your friends and colleagues from a different perspective.

The packaging with the game is small in size, and therefore you can take it with you anywhere. For those who find the standard version of “Ruff” too inconvenient to transport, there is a special edition “Ruff. Compact" with cards and smaller packaging.

By the way, even those who basically do not drink alcohol will like the game, since alcohol can always be replaced. Agree with your friends to drink a glass of juice, lemonade or fruit drink as a “fine”, and start the party!

If you are looking for inexpensive, fun and exciting entertainment for a large group of friends, then the game "Ruff" will allow you to spend many unforgettable minutes completing tasks, trying to escape from a polar bear and hatching cunning plans to profitably use bonuses. But remember when sitting down to a game that excessive drinking can be harmful to your health.

What is a good drinking game? Simple, fun and, so to speak, clearly aimed at active consumption of alcoholic beverages. And Yorsh fully meets these criteria.

If you want to add variety to an ordinary holiday, you crave not only something stronger, but also bread and circuses, but there is no great desire to complicate your already difficult life with difficult-to-digest rules, then opt for the card game Ruff. Just what you need!

How to play

The name of this simple thing speaks for itself, and, as you may have guessed, the fish has absolutely nothing to do with it. So, to start the fun, you will have to make, probably, the most reasonable, important and sober decision in the entire game: decide what your glass will be full of during the game (and calculate your strength wisely - you will have to drink a lot!) . A lot can depend on this :)

When the hardest part is over, all that remains is to enjoy the process. It looks something like this: you draw a card with a task and decide whether you can complete it or not. If not, then you will be subject to a fine portion of alcohol and other strict sanctions. Have you decided to dare? Well, if the outcome is successful, you will receive bonus points, if not, then your neighbor must complete the task.

The deck contains many unexpected surprises that will amuse, invigorate and even add a touch of exercise to your feast. How much does a bear's visit cost? After all, when one of the participants gets a card with this cute animal, everyone must quickly crawl under the table. And whoever is last loses!

If, after all the ups and downs of the Ruff game, it is still important for you to find out who won (which is unlikely and unlikely to happen), count the number of points in the cards in your hand (each bonus is +1, each bear is -5) and go to sleep.

Game composition:

  • 94 challenge cards;
  • 48 useful bonus cards;
  • 8 surprise bear cards;
  • rules of the game

Please note that the age rating for this game is “18+”

As distributors, we undertake to warn you of this restriction and ask you to refrain from purchasing if you are under 18 years of age.

The board game Ruff is intended for adults who are legally allowed to purchase and consume alcohol, because there will be plenty of alcohol in this game. The rules of "Ruff" are simple and exciting at the same time - draw a card and complete the tasks indicated on the back, if you refuse, you drink a penalty. Naturally, all tasks have a cheerful, piquant, and sometimes intellectual connotation. If completed successfully, the player gets a bonus card, which can protect him from an unpleasant test or allow him to mock another player.

The game of ruff can turn even the most hopelessly constrained party into a real holiday of humor, in which it will be pleasant to drown in time after time. There is one more feature, which is called - the bear has come. If such a card is found in the deck, all players must immediately hide under the table. Those who fail to do so receive penalty points. The slowest ones, after a large number of penalty points, are not at all able to crawl out from under the table.

  1. Task cards: 94 pcs.

Many will say that there are many fun and exciting games. But the main condition here is the intake of alcoholic beverages. Therefore, you won’t be able to play with children; only adults can play. If you and your friends don't mind having a drink in good company and having a lot of fun, then this is the entertainment for you.

Rules of the game "Ruff" :)

  • At the beginning of the game, it is worth determining what they will eat and drink during the game. Each player has the right to choose what he likes best from the alcohol-snack combinations. The choice of drink and snack must be well calculated; they cannot be changed during the game, and your strengths must be soberly assessed. A participant who refuses to complete a task or is unable to complete it is required to drink a penalty drink. Its size must be specified immediately and not changed during the game.
  • bonus cards must be kept hidden from other players until you decide to use them. For example: you can use the bonus if you decide to refuse the task;
  • The task cards are numbered - these are sobriety points. At the end of the game, each player tallies his points;
  • each bear card takes away 5 sobriety points from any participant;
  • if a player refuses a task, in addition to the “fine”, he is obliged to return all bonus cards to the very bottom of the deck;
  • the card is discarded if two players fail to complete the task in a row. The next player takes a new task card;
  • the game continues until the last bear at the bottom of the deck is drawn;
  • bonuses can be exchanged with each other, or exchanged for a snack or drink;
  • At the end of the game, all players who remain in the game count their sobriety points. The one with the most points wins;
  • if there are less than five cards left in the bonus deck, each player discards five bonus cards into the common deck;
  • For each bonus saved until the end of the game, one sobriety point is added;
  • You cannot refuse to fulfill cards with bonuses - unless you have a “cancel bonus” card.

All preparations have been made, now you can start playing.

  1. There are two decks in the game. The first is cards with your bonuses. They are thoroughly mixed and placed in a separate stack in a closed one.
  2. The second deck is a deck of cards with tasks; cards with bears are added to it and also shuffled. The last card is the “bear”. And they place the tasks next to the bonuses face down.
  3. So, let's go! The first participant is chosen by other players, or it may be the most sober person. He takes a card from the task deck. He reads out loud to everyone what he must do. Then the player completes the task, or can refuse, in which case he will have to drink a “penalty drink”. The player who is at fault gives his card to the next player. If the next player completes the task, he takes two cards from the bonus deck and keeps the card with the task for himself. And then he draws a new card with a task. Those players who were able to immediately complete the task without penalty take a bonus card and keep the card with the task.
  4. The player who gets the “bear” must say loudly: “The polar bear has arrived.” At the same time, all players hide under the table, except for the one who reads; the slowest one is given a card with the words: “The polar bear has left.”
    After this, the game continues.

A small warning: leaving the game site is prohibited unless specified in the task!

« Ruff" is a game for a company that is ready to get pretty drunk in the near future.

AND Players take turns drawing task cards from the deck and deciding whether they are ready for such madness. If the task is completed, the player takes a card from the bonus deck. And if not, then he passes it on to his neighbor and, of course, a penalty awaits him. His neighbor, if he completes the task received, already receives two bonus cards. No, then the card is simply discarded.

Cool game for fun companies!

The deck contains polar bear cards. Get ready! As soon as someone gets the polar bear card, they shout “The polar bear has arrived!” and everyone else dives under the table. The one who hesitates gets a “bear”, which will take away sobriety points at the end of the game.

Gatherings are no longer just get-togethers when there is a game like this!

The concept of “sobriety” in the game “Ruff” is a rather abstract concept, since it is impossible to do everything that comes your way. So keep an eye on your actual level of sobriety, have fun while completing tasks, and get under the table from the polar bear.

Who will like it

It will probably be redundant to say how wonderful “Ruff” is for large companies, for New Years and birthdays, for a party or Sabantuy. Everything is clear.

Take care of your health, choose light alcoholic drinks.
