Reduce the temperature to 40 degrees and dry the pumpkin for 9-10 hours, periodically turning it on different sides. To prepare crushed watermelon pulp, from which you can later make a delicious porridge or puree, seasoned with butter or tops, or a casserole, you will need: one medium pumpkin, a third of a glass of granulated sugar, 200 ml of drinking water and cinnamon if desired. If you prepare it, it is often accompanied by rosemary.

And, before you start preparing the dessert, you need to wash the orange fruit, peel off the hard peel from it and select seeds with fibers, and then cut into small cubes of about 1-1.5 cm. In this recipe, to give the product special tenderness, it should first be stewed with a small amount of water on the stove, and only then should you start baking. To stew, take a small enamel pan, pour a little water into it and add sugar. The syrup is boiled until the white grains dissolve, and shredded pumpkin pulp is added to it. Cooking lasts about 7-8 minutes with regular stirring of the ingredients.


When the pieces have almost completely absorbed the syrup, they need to be laid out on a baking dish lined with parchment, flavored with cinnamon, sprinkled with powder if necessary and put in the oven for 25 minutes until cooked. The dish is served hot. During the cooking process it becomes almost homogeneous; the pieces fall apart, soaked in syrup. It would be good to provide it with chopped walnut kernels. If the dish is made for children, then the pieces are kneaded into a paste with a fork before eating. Dairy dishes can be varied with similar products: rice, barley or pearl barley porridge; even make it with it, using the mass as a filling.


“Baking sweet watermelon for children”

A kind of porridge, which can be made not only on a regular stove, but also in the oven, is perfect for a child’s diet. The simmering time for a dish covered with foil varies within one hour. For the recipe, you need to take a pumpkin that is not quite large, so that it fits in the oven. Try to choose a flat, round shape.

Now you need to free it from the insides. Do this in any way convenient for you. Personally, I do this. I retreat 2 cm from the edge of the wall and cut around the circumference with a knife. Next I scrape everything out with a knife. You should be able to do it just like me.
