Lifehacks with a toilet paper roll. Toilet paper rolls are not trash, but a field for creativity

A big hello to little schoolchildren and their parents! Most recently, we looked at amazing things that you can do with your own hands. Today we will develop this topic further.

Let's turn our attention to crafts made from toilet paper rolls. In the article you will find a master class and a selection of interesting ideas. Enjoy watching!

Master Class

We made this craft specifically for school. We made a wonderful stand for stationery using four paper rolls and one adhesive tape. But first things first.

We start with preparing materials. So, we needed:

  • four toilet paper rolls;
  • one sleeve from wide adhesive tape;
  • double sided tape;
  • rope;
  • multi-colored threads;
  • colored paper;
  • thick cardboard;
  • glue gun (you can use other strong glue).

We also used PVA glue, paints and brushes in our work, but we forgot to photograph them.

To begin, we will make bottoms for the bushings from thick cardboard. We attach the sleeves to the cardboard and trace them. You get circles. Add rays to the circles.

And we cut it out along the rays. We get parts that look like gears or suns.

Now we bend these rays upward.

Lubricate the rays of the parts with glue and insert the bottoms inside the bushings.

Now the bottoms are ready.

Now let's move on to the interior finishing of our sleeve cups. First we decided to cover them with colored paper. And they did the same with a wide glass.

But with narrow glasses everything turned out to be not so simple. It is inconvenient to glue them from the inside. Therefore, it was decided to use paints.

Everything was much simpler that way.

This is what the craft looks like at this stage.

Let's start with the exterior finishing. Cover the wide sleeve with double-sided tape.

And now we begin to wrap the rope around the tape in a circle.

We wind it to the very top. We cut off the excess.

We do the same with the remaining four bushings. We just wrap them not with rope, but with woolen threads of different colors.

All that remains is to connect our desktop device into a single whole. To do this, we took a box from a toy car from thick cardboard and cut out the common bottom. It should repeat the shape of the future craft.

And all that remains is to glue our cups to the bottom. To do this, you can use a glue gun or super glue. The craft is ready!

We could decorate our desk stationery with buttons, ribbons, or something else. But we thought it was quite cute even without decoration.

Craft ideas

Well, now a selection of ideas for crafts made from bushings. They were discovered by us on the Internet.

If the bushings are bent as in the photo.

It may be difficult for adults to come up with something like this, but for children, I think, this will not be a big problem.

One of the simplest crafts is binoculars.

And one more option.

You can build a whole fairy-tale town.

Stands for pencils and cosmetic accessories

By saving up a few bushings, you can make a stylish organizer for stationery or an original stand for cosmetic brushes, pencils and mascara. By varying the height of miniature storage units, you can easily get a customized accessory that can hold everything you need.

To make your own toilet paper roll organizer, you first need to decorate each piece. This can be done in different ways:

  • paint with acrylic paints in one tone or in different colors;
  • decorate with decoupage;
  • cover with colored paper or vinyl self-adhesive film;
  • cover with fabric, burlap, lace or leather (natural from old things or artificial);
  • decorate with multi-colored buttons;
  • “dress” in knitted covers;
  • wrap with jute rope or satin ribbons;
  • decorate with strips of colored tape (it looks more impressive if they are of different colors).

The bottom of the sleeve organizer can be sealed with cardboard, plywood or wood - choose from what you have at hand.

If you don’t have the time or desire to decorate or need a large organizer, take a box of the right size, fill it with sleeves and use it! In such storage you can keep chargers, hair ties, hairpins, buttons, scissors, and screwdrivers.

You can also toss this idea to your husband to clean up his garage, closet or balcony. It is advisable to glue the outside of the box, after all, you are a needlewoman.

Handicraft is an amazing activity! A variety of little things, household items, office supplies, and small natural materials are used. What about a non-standard source material like toilet paper? At first glance, it may seem that this is not a very suitable material for crafts.

But crafts made from toilet paper rolls look very original. This material is available in every home, it is not expensive, and the cores of used paper are often simply thrown away.

In fact, toilet paper opens up a whole new horizon of interesting ideas for children's crafts. And some crafts can be useful in everyday life.

It couldn't be simpler

Before you begin the creative process, you need to stock up on materials. Keep paper cores away. When working with bushings, paint, brushes, markers, colored paper, etc. will be useful.

Animals made from bushings

Depending on the age of your baby, you can start with the simplest. For example, you can make a whole puppet ensemble from animals.

The sleeve serves as the body of the animal. Therefore, it should be painted or pasted in a color that matches the color of the animal. The bunny is gray, the fox is orange, the penguin is black and white.

After the work has been done, make additional elements in the form of ears, paws, nose, beak, and so on. Glue all parts to the appropriate places. The result is simple but colorful animals that you can play with.

An octopus can be an unusual craft. The body is painted blue. After this, cut the lower part evenly into strips. The width of the strips is approximately one centimeter, the depth is up to the middle of the sleeve. Bend all the resulting strips outward. All that remains is to glue on the eyes and draw a smile. The underwater friend is ready!

pencil

Making a pencil holder is also a simple process. In addition, the resulting item has practical benefits.

To make the product stable, it is better to use 3-4 bushings. First glue the formed sleeves together, then stick them on a cardboard base.

You can design the sleeves in the form of birds from the computer game “Angry birds”. As you can see in the photo of toilet paper crafts, this option is simple and very similar to the characters in the game. First you need to cover the cardboard tube with colored paper. Cut out the eyebrows, eyes, and beak separately from the appropriate colored cardboard. Glue all the elements into place.

If you approach the process scrupulously, such cup holders can become a worthy gift and your child can give them when visiting someone.

Pins made from bushings

Paste the blanks in different colors. Number each pin. You can play bowling without leaving your home.

Automobile

Paste the blank in the red or yellow color of a sports car. Cut out round wheels from black cardboard. From white cardboard, cut out circles of smaller diameter - these are rims, and stick them on black blanks. Glue the finished wheels to the appropriate places.

An important detail is the driver's seat. Cut a round or rectangular hole in the center of the sleeve. Glue the back into the resulting opening. To convey the resemblance to a real racing car, paint a number on the body.

Making crafts from toilet paper rolls is a very simple, straightforward process. At the same time, it is able to give you and your child a whole evening of interesting games.

If the child is already more diligent and ready for new achievements, try making more complex products.

Snow woman

To make a snowman you will need white and pink soft toilet paper, paints and a brush.

Roll the unwound white paper into a rope. After the work has been done, wind the tourniquet into a ball, but not very tightly. Place the end of the paper into the middle of the ball.

Make three balls of different sizes. Use a similar technique to make handles. Using glue, glue all the elements together.

Make a hat out of pink paper. Make a ring from the pink rope and glue the ends together. In the same way, make another ring - of a smaller diameter. The third ring is very small. Using glue, place the rings one on top of the other in the form of a pyramid. You should get a snow cap.

The basis for the structure will be a sheet of cardboard. To create a snow cover, lay out a rope of paper in a circle, having previously coated the cardboard with glue.

Glue the snow woman to the center of the base. Using gouache, draw the eyes, nose, cheeks and mouth. This craft can be a wonderful decoration for a child’s room in winter.

The variety of crafts made from this material is limited only by imagination. But in this case, the Internet comes to the rescue. Alternatively, you can make a castle, glasses, cups, houses and much more.

Decorative decorations

For a school-age child, you can raise the level of difficulty and make new crafts from toilet paper.

Garland

A garland made from paper rolls can be a good decoration for a family or themed event. Paste printed photographs or necessary drawings onto the tubes. String all the bushings on a dense thread like beads in a bead. Attach the resulting garland to the wall with buttons. Decorate the places where they are attached to the wall with bows.

Tree with photos

If you have photographs hanging on the wall, you can use sleeves to arrange them in the form of a family tree. Cut the bushing into rings. Thickness is at your discretion. Make leaves from the resulting rings. To do this, the ring must be squeezed on both sides to obtain the desired shape.

Color the resulting leaves green. Additionally, cut out tree branches from black or brown cardboard. Using double-sided tape, stick all the elements between the photos.

This composition looks much more original.

Useful crafts

Crafts made from toilet paper tubes can carry not only an aesthetic, but also a semantic meaning in the home.

Wire holder

Alternatively, you can make wire holders from them. To prevent many wires and headphones from getting tangled in the drawer, they can be inserted into toilet tubes.

The tubes are first fastened together or placed closely in a shoe box and placed on the bottom of the drawer.

Containers for seedlings

If you collect the tubes all year round, in the spring you can put them in a plastic tray and sprinkle soil over them. They will cope with the assigned task no worse than peat pots.
