Rules of hypnosis sessions. Hypnotherapy: species, principles and methods of hypnosis - what diseases can be cured by hypnosis that a person feels during hypnosis

In a state of hypnosis, a person loses consciousness. It is not true...

In modern medicine, it is customary to use a textbook on clinical use of hypnosis, which is called "Trance and Treatment" or "hypnosis and treatment" (1978).

History of hypnosis

His authors - David and Herbert Spiegel - Son and Father, Doctor Medicine. Doctors help patients get control over their psyche due to a combination of self-sucking (self-hypnosis) and induced hypnosis. During a person's session, immersed in a hypnotic state, then the doctor suggests a patient to imagine such a place in which he would be relaxed and calm.

After that, the doctor in hypnosis (not the "hypnotist", because this term is used in show business, but not applicable to medicine) proposes to submit another - frightening situation. At the same time, it helps to switch the patient's attention between the two pictures as if they are both predicated to one screen. After some time, a person already causes this soothing image in the panic moments, enters it and so removes anxiety.

But in order for the diagram of the medical effect of hypnosis to work, it is necessary to spend from 10 to 15 sessions with a specialist and work a lot on yourself.

Hypnosis instead of tablets

In medical institutions to calm patients to complex operations, to facilitate suffering from pain, burns victims and to prepare women to the labor process are increasingly used by hypnotherapy (or hypnosis). There is more and more evidence that with the help of hypnosis, not only phobias, different types of dependence, anxiety and other psychological states can be cured, but also affect the course of physical diseases. For example, on healing surgical wounds or fractures.

The hypnotic effect works particularly effectively in patients who can hypnosis. So, for several minutes, the state of painlessness can be achieved instead of physical agony. However, the effect of hypnosis on all people is not the same. It is known that 2/3 adults are subject to hypnotic exposure. True, the benefits of hypnosis will even be the people who are not amenable to him. With it, you can remove the stressful state or cause relaxation. The success of hypnosis sessions depends on the degree of readiness of the patient, the skill and experience of a specialist and contact, which is reached between them at the moment.

Methods of hypnosis

Among people were mistaken for the opinion that the doctor during hypnosis subordinates the patient's consciousness. In fact, the control over the mind and body during the session completely takes the person himself.

Such power in good condition is not available to him. Thanks to the immersion in the hypnotic trans, the state of focused concentration occurs. This makes it possible to clear your consciousness from obsessive and outsiders distracting thoughts.

For immersion in the hypnotic state, several ways are used:

  • The most common method of hypnosis - the patient is seated into a soft deep chair, which has a backrest. Then they ask to relax, close the eyes and gradually introduced into the trance. In this case, the countdown is used and ordered to feel how they are heavy parts of the human body.
  • While finding a patient in a hypnotic state, the doctor may offer soft forms of suggestion (Suggestion). For example, "imagine that your body floats in a warm bath ...".
  • Various visualization techniques are also used. They help to present the situation of loss of sensitivity of pain or normal operation of a poorly functioning organ.

Usually the doctor teaches the client to similar skills. In addition, discs or audio cassettes are issued to the patient, the content of which allows self-hypnosis sessions to increase the influence of the external application of hypnosis.

Hypnosis instead of anesthesia

There are situations in the life when no medications and drugs do not help. Example - People in the post-welcome state. For them, torture is every shift of linen. Hypnosis allows you to inspire a patient that after touching the hand of the nurse, his shoulder pain will instantly disappear.

After such an impact, patients often not only relax, but they can fall asleep. Such a visual use of hypnosis is quite rare. But real help and relief hypnotic trance brings, which makes it possible to reduce the number of soothing and painkillers. That is why hypnosis is used with medical circulates in addition to anesthesia.

For now, how the condition of hypnosis can control pain, unknown. However, surveys show that the biological activity of the brain during hypnosis changes. This reduces the activity in the field of pain receptors, as well as in the primary sensitive zones of the cerebral cortex, which are responsible for pain. This gives aware of that, thanks to hypnosis, pain signals do not pass in part of the brain, perceive pain.

Accelerated regeneration

According to studies of 1999, which conducted the Harvard School of Medicine, it became known that under the influence of hypnosis, broken bones were fought for 6 weeks. At the same time without hypnosis, recovery occurred for 8 or more weeks. Accelerated regeneration concerns postoperative wounds.

Refusal of bad habits with hypnosis

Half patients who, with the help of self-hypnosis, tried to quit smoking, to abandon the bad habit, only one session helped. The other half managed to abandon cigarettes for up to 2 years.

However, the process of combating excess weight Hypnosis affects much weaker. The worst thing is the case with drug addiction. Due to drug use, irreversible changes in the cerebral cortex occur, which practically reduces the application of the method.

Intestinal regulation with hypnosis

Hypnosis sessions were quite effective in the treatment of spastic colitis or irritable intestinal syndrome.

With these diseases, a person is in constant stressful state and is not always able to control his chair. If we consider that the disorder is barely treated with a medical path, then 70-95% of hypnosis efficiency in this case is a very good result.

Removing stress with hypnosis

For many years, hypnosis is used to get rid of post-traumatic stress and anxiety. True, it is unable to rid from real phobias, but can help a person maintain his psyche in a stable state.

Riddles and myths of hypnosis

The existence of hypnosis is known for a long time. However, due to the fact that for a long time he was considered a mystery, several stable delusions were born regarding hypnosis:

Perhaps you will feel in an isolated space, because you will focus on the voice of the hypnologist with such an intensity that you will cease to pay attention to all the other surroundings.

When you are not in the hypnotic state, you can realize everything about what your senses report. You know, it's cold or hot. Do you have a mood to eat a portion of ice cream or you want to drink. You know for sure that listening to music, chew food. You can clearly distinguish that you are now walking along the zoo and watch the monkeys, and not in the hospital face to face with a nurse.

In a state of hypnosis, you intentionally interrupt the entire flow of information from the senses. Not distracted by this ocean sounds, sensations and odors, you can completely concentrate on the words and images offered by the hypnologist.

By directing only to the voice that you hear, on the suggestion that you offer you, you perceive the voice as if he is heard from somewhere from afar. You are softened and become more collected by ignoring external, not belonging to the suggestion of incentives. You lose interest in the dispute and do not have the strength to resist.

Many people feel physical relaxation against the background of mental activity. Someone says that this condition is similar to meditation. Others find it a similar sensation caused by tranquilizers.

Your real-time perception during hypnosis can be broken. It seems to many that they were under hypnosis a few minutes, whereas a lot more time passed. Others argue that they were in a hypnotic dream for a whole hour, and in fact the entire session took no more than 10 minutes.

The perception of his own body can also be presented to surprises: it may seem heavy and easily or, on the contrary, light, as if you drift on the surface of the sea. Some feel warm. Many talk about pleasant tearing in the whole body.

When the hypnologist inspires you the experience of certain feelings, such as a feeling of comfort or relaxation, you will readily follow it. Moreover, the suggestive reality is perceived as what is really, and it does not matter what your senses can tell you at the same time.

For each person, the experience of hypnosis experience is unique, has individual traits.

Interesting details

For hypnosis there is no need for an isolated, soundproof room. For about two months outside the windows of my house, noisy construction went: bulldozers, jackhammers, workers' screams - and my clients heard only my voice.

Look comments made by my clients a few minutes after the opening of the eyes, in conclusion of the hypnotic session.

* I feel as if I woke up from a long deep sleep.

* I was in a 10-minute trance? Can not be! I was absent more than an hour.

* I feel like after massage.

* It `s very unusual.

* Sorry, Doctor, but I was not under hypnosis.

* Are you sure it will work?

* I have some kind of weakness.

* I had a headache! But how could this happen? After all, I never told you about her?

* It was hypnosis?

* I want to return to this calm lake.

* I can not wait to see how I miss the evening dessert.

Despite the fact that some of my customers are experiencing quite ordinary sensations, I know that hypnosis affects them. How do I find out?

Six months after the hypnosis session, I turned to customers who wanted to quit smoking. I asked them to write a review about the session and tell if they were smoking until now, when this habit was returned and when they (kept the last cigarette in their hands.

The answer, as a rule, had the following meaning:

Dear doctor!

You made a wonderful impression on me, please do not be mistaken! It seems to me that you could not hypnotize me on that day in the office. I know you tried very hard, but I heard all the extraneous noises and felt every movement. I did not feel anything special and could move completely freely. In the same evening, I decided to give up my habit of smoking two packs of cigarettes per day. I think I no longer need hypnosis.

With respect, inappropriate hypnosis

Hypnosis can change muscle tension, heart rate, I ventilation of the lungs, temperature. During the hypnosis session, you usually obey the words of the hypnologist, immersing you in a relaxed state. Your blood pressure drops, the heart rate slows down and becomes more regular, all muscles relax. Heart functioning, breathing, blood system Adjusted by the autonomous nervous system. For scientists, it is interesting that words are influenced by the activities of this system. Using your mind, hypnosis can control your body.

Hydnespovar

Autonomous nervous system

controls unconscious physiological processes, such as cardiac abbreviations, blood pressure, digestion.

Doubt and doubt

Skepticity to all situations that seem strange, characteristic of human nature. It is quite normal to doubt every step, being in an unknown area. What you are currently reading and learn about hypnosis makes it more understandable for you.

How will I look like a hypnosis?

Your body is poured by lead weight, and you are absolutely relaxing. Muscles can be so relaxed that you will sit with a half-open mouth. Your lower jaw will seem so hard that you will not have the strength to keep your mouth closed. Some people are so relaxing that they flew saliva. Do not be afraid, it happens rarely; I'm just in case I hold a couple of paper napkins.

Your breathing slowly slows down. Eyes closed, eyelids grow up. Tears may appear in front (another case, when paper napkins are needed). But this is not at all because you are sad or you are in a sentimental mood - just your tear ducts are also relaxed.

In the office of the hypnologist

A few years ago my dad had a serious heart attack. He was connected to various apparatus, and he was losing consciousness, then again came to his senses. All his life functions fade. The cardiologist said that there is little hope, since the necessary medicine, which can save life, can only be introduced when the blood pressure comes to normal, and this is unlikely. Nurse and doctor assured me that dad can not hear anything. Despite this, I leaned toward his ear and began to talk to him. I told him how he was leisurely walking around the garden, goes across the alley, comes to the lawn with yellow flowers, stops - and that all his body relaxed and the pressure came to normal. In 5 minutes, blood pressure dropped and stabilized. Now dad feels great.

Most people become fixed. Hypnosis contributes to the cessation of all arbitrary motor activity. Light upwards that are not controlled by consciousness can sometimes pass through your body. All this does not apply to children. They have a tendency to deep hypnotic sleep, but during the entire session children move, open and close their eyes. (See chapter 16 "Children and Hypnosis.")

What will I say while under hypnosis?

"I will be forced to tell everything? I confess in my sins? "

For the client, there is no reason to tell anything at all. During the session, there is a hypnologist. If you came to take control of your own habits, or you want to somehow change your behavior, your sins will remain known only to you.

If you want to talk, your speech will be monotonous, slow, almost like a robot. But most people prefer not to talk. The conversation violates the state of peace, and it seems that great efforts will be required.

Unlike hypnosis sessions, the purpose of hypnotherapy is to identify internal hidden processes that affect your conscious life (see chapter 7 "Mind of Mind"). And here you will open your personal experiences and secrets. This is hypnotherapy.

What will I do while under hypnosis?

"I do not want to put myself in an awkward position, jumping like a rabbit, and cracking like a duck."

You can fear for your actions under hypnosis if they came to the hypnotist who works in the public. (I will tell you about this in chapter 22 "Kryakayte, like a duck.") Hypnotisters-artists are rather magicians, unlike hypnologists-healers. Their main task - to give public to have fun. My job, like the work of other professional healers who use hypnosis, is aimed at helping you change your behavior or thinking. You just will not have the opportunity to put yourself in an awkward position, if, of course, you do not put your goals to increase the jumping and stop fake when chambling.

be careful

Before proceeding in itself to hypnosis, make sure that you and your hypnobologist agreed that it will happen when you enter the hypnotic state. Clear whether you need to say something. Discuss in advance the main goal of the session - whether it will be hypnosis or hypnotherapy.

Hypnosis cannot make you do anything against the will. Theoretically, it is possible to allow the situation when an extremely hypnavale person falls into extraordinary life circumstances. It is possible to imagine that this person tried to dishonest, dishonest charlatan, and then, perhaps, hypnosis will affect him not as I would like. After reading this book, you will learn that it will help to avoid such a situation or how without harm to get out of it.

Before you agree to succumb to hypnosis, make sure that the hypnologist understood your problems. Find out if you can talk to how to speak, and do not confuse hypnosis and hypnotherapy.

There is a rule: a hypnotic suggestion works only if you believe it. Your motivation plays a very big role. If you are indifferent to the result and you do not want to quit smoking, the success of hypnosis will be minimal and the session can be left at a strong desire. I am not able to make you quit smoking if you do not want to part with cigarettes. During the session, you always have the opportunity to give up suggestion if it goes against your system of values. You do not hurt anyone harm to the ugly behavior.

Exceptions can be situations when an unethical hypnologist will deprive your suggestion to increase your food and prohibit sleeping or use other techniques that are tangling mental forces. Of course, this can not happen on the usual hypnosis session, but suddenly you will get into the hands of the terrorist.

In all other cases, you can get out of the trance at any time and return to your usual state. Hypnosis contributes to the adoption of suggestion, but he cannot impose it. (See chapter 1 to learn more about the suggestion and trance.)

What if I'm stuck in the trance?

It's impossible. When the session is over, the hypnologist will ask you to open your eyes. You may not doubt: after a hard working day, he does not want someone to hang in the trance right in his office. At the end of the session, the hypnologist will simply give you instructions to get out of the trance and return to the usual state.

"What if my hypnologist falls dead, it is enough to hit him or he paralizes before he or she will bring me to normal consciousness?"

Do not worry if this happens, you can do everything yourself. Maybe it will take a few minutes, but you still wake up. You borrow as soon as you stop hearing the voice of the hypnologist. You will open your eyes and feel cheerfully again.

"What if a catastrophe happens, let's say, a fire, and I will be in a hypnotic dream?"

You react in the usual way. Most likely, you will not wait for the hypnologist to tell you something to you, but open your eyes and you will save yourself. Do not forget! You do not sleep and are not in a coma. Your awareness of what is happening around and dorms, and awakes at the same time. Autonomous reactions are really slow, but your mental activity: perception and knowledge - on the contrary, exacerbated.

Trans is a very pleasant condition. You will prefer to stay in it than to answer Alene's aunt when it will call you by name. But, if aunt, having called you, will heal about the fire, you will immediately come out of the trance.

How long is the suggestion?

As a rule, the duration of the validity of the suggestion and its effectiveness exceeds customer expectations.

Interesting details

If you know that you need to get rid of habits (maybe you are always late to work), but you are not sure what you really want this (perhaps you hate your boss), - Assign 2 hypnosis sessions first - to reconsider your attitude To the unworthy personality of your boss, the second - to support your desire to become punctual. Thus, the first session will prepare the success of the second.

"Do I need to go to the hypnologist regularly?"

The effectiveness and duration of the impact of hypnosis affect:

* Features of the behavior that you want to change;

* Your lifestyle surrounding you atmosphere;

* Words used by the hypnologist;

* Relationship between the hypnologist and you.

Will I have the temptation to return to unwanted behavior?

We overcome some habits easily, others require great efforts. For example, freeing from smoking is much easier than from overeating. One day you stop smoking, and you will never want to touch the cigarettes anymore. And eating it is necessary daily, and several times. Installation "I do not overeat" through a very time can lose strength, and then you need to repeat the hypnosis session again.

How often others will tempt me to return to the old?

People around you affect the time of suggestion. If a former smoker is married to a smoking woman and at work, too, many smoke, the likelihood is that the surroundings will reduce the effect of a healthy installation. And the next session of hypnosis will be very by the way.

In the office of the hypnologist

I suggest my client to record the hypnosis session on the voice recorder so that in the future you can listen to the suggestion at any time when you need, and completely free. More often this measure is simply not needed. Perhaps the client feels more protected and uses this record rarely. However, if there is a need to listen to the cassette in solitude at home, then your record can completely replace the visit to the hypnologist. In many bookstores, they offer to sell audio recordings of hypnosis sessions. Many of them can be very useful, although they are not recorded individually.

Does your hypnologist communicate?

The art of communication is very important for the hypnologist. The degree of ownership of words is distinguished by a good specialist from the bad. Each hypnologist decides which words to choose to tell them to you. A much larger effect can be achieved if you rest on individual life experience, lexicon and customer speech style. The success or failure of the hypnotic impact depends on the phrases used and how long the generated installation will affect.

Once I dealt with two customers who came to me on one day with the same problems. Gregory is an artist whose name is often mentioned in newspapers. He, a famous painter selling his paintings, asked me to help cope with the fear of communicating with people. His agent insisted that he accepts an invitation for lunch to people, in the house that the paintings of the master already hung. Moreover, it was implied that Gregory would be witty and charming, while the artist preferred to be silent - he would rather stay at home in his workshop.

Debi - high-end basketball team coach. Her pupils occupied the first place, and now she will definitely have to give interviews to journalists of newspapers, radio, television. She was afraid of this event and also preferred to stay at home and throw the ball into the basket in the backyard.

I took to work with Gregory, and with Debi. Try to assume some of the following offers I used when working with these clients. Under each name, mark the proposals that you consider the most suitable for this point.

Gregory Debi

1. You will see that we are clearly expressing. - -

2. You will see that people are nice - - to meet with you a look.

3. You can easily go - to the next topic.

4. You can beautifully and on time - - Pour a replica and insert your

comment.

5. Your speech will be bright and eloquent. - -

6. When you have a good idea, - - you will feel free to express her.

Of course, Gregory, artist, human type. He must see clarity (Proposition 1); For him, an eye contact (Proposition 2) is important; And also it will definitely respond to the brightness (proposal 5). Debi, an athlete, easily goes from place to place (Proposition 3); Pares the actions of rivals (Proposition 4); And she is familiar with the feeling of courage (sentence 6).

Before the start of the session, the hypnologist should pay enough time to conversation with you to find out the features of your attitude to the world. If the words of the hypnologist are well perceived by you if you have an open faunal relationship, your reaction to a hypnotic suggestion will meet fewer obstacles and denial.

Does the hypnologist use the appropriate technique to you?

The behavior of the hypnologist must harmoniously coincide with yours. If you say slowly, your hypnobologist should say. Your unconscious should work in unity with the unconscious of the hypnologist. At the same time, nod, blink, breathe, gesticulate you will be with him, in one pace. Such hypnotic technique is called culmination. A good hypnologist will crush his hands if you have them in such a position; Make a deep breath if you sigh, and swallows after you. As soon as you achieve the synchronicity of your actions and reactions, you will easily follow suggestions.

Hypostlovar

A good hypnologist seizures the client, recognizing and imitating the features of his speech, gestures and behavior.

Some guillers know how to skillfully make their suggestions so that their installation is working throughout life. Dr. Milton Erickson, the famous psychiatrist and a hypnologist, worked with a college student, helping him to solve his problems. The young man asked to provide him with real evidence that he was in the trance. Dr. Erickson spoke him an additional suggestion, which is that every time they see each other, the client will feel the need to pull themselves at the ear. And indeed, when a young man met his hypnologist on the college territory, his hand automatically stretched to the ear of the ear. Many years later, being a participant in a professional conference, he noticed the name of Erickson among the speakers. Soon he had the opportunity to meet a doctor and tell about his success, and here, to his amazement, he found his own hand, rising to pull himself at the ear.

"Do I have to look at the swinging pocket watch?"

It's not obligatory. This idea is popular because entering the hypnotic state is easier when you look at something carefully. The monotonous, repeating movement, such as swaying, is enough to cause relaxation state of any person. You may be asked to look at some particular subject in the office, or will be offered to close your eyes and mentally imagine a bright image. I ask my customers to look at the handle from the drawer, which is opposite when they sit face to me. Those who prefer to lie during a session, I ask to look at the spot that it turns out before your eyes when you fold a head on the couch. In addition, at the beginning of the session, I speak words so that most people close their eyes within 5 minutes.

Interesting details

Milton Erickson (1901-1980), a famous healer, most successfully applied hypnosis in the United States. He organized a scientific sense of hypnosis, brought up many hypnotists. And looked amazing when in his unchanged purple cape helped patients with its original hypnotic methods. Today, Erickson hypnosis is of great interest all over the world.

How do I find out that the hypnosis helped me?

Of course, your progress will serve your progress. Hypnosis had an impact on you if you could achieve your goals. If you have not allowed your problems, but at least progress in it, try another one or two sessions. A partial result has already indicated that you are susceptible to hypnosis and you just need more practices. As with the game on the piano: art is born from training.

You will remember the session, unless the hypnologist deliberately will not allow you to forget it. Hypnosis is not side EffectsIn addition to the unusual feeling of deep relaxation. Many people told that that day, when they were on a hypnotic session, in the evening they closed their eyes and then enjoyed a long sleep, carrying rest. The only other change you can note is that you really achieved success in what you appeal to the hypnotist.

In the office of the hypnologist

Suzanne is extremely hypnabeln and getting great pleasure from staying in the trance. She comes to my sessions, even when nothing bothers her. At the entrance to my office, she says every time: "Oh, I suddenly felt very sleepy!" Next she sits down, closes his eyes and introduces himself into the trance - without my help! Once I gave her the installation to enter the hypnotic state immediately after the appearance in my office - it turns out!

Minimum that you need to know

* You can be hypnotized, but nothing special will not feel.

* Hypnosis can control your body with your mind.

* The effectiveness of hypnosis is determined by the skill of your hypnologist.

* During the session, you fully control yourself and do not do anything against your will.

Chapter 3.

Look my eyes

In this chapter:

· We enter the trance.

· We remain in the trance.

· We enjoy the process.

· We are awake.

There are as many ways to use hypnosis, how many hypnotics. Good healers know several methods of immersion of man in trance, different methods The suggestion and, of course, awakening the client. From this chapter you will learn about the variety of hypnosis techniques.

You will visit the present session of hypnosis, listen to the hypnologist (me), meet with the client and find out something about her life. You will witness how our interaction will occur, establish contact, and I will explain to you what will happen, and then go to hypnosis.

Welcome to hypnosis

Judy sits in a comfortable chair in front of me. We exchange joking comments, then I ask her about the reason for the visit.

Judy: My doctor believes that you could help me, as nothing else works. I was operated on my knee, and after surgery, I could not walk on the stairs. Now X-rays show that everything is in order with the knee.

Interesting details

Be sure to take with you to the hypnologist phone or written instructions of your doctor. Thus, you can be sure that hypnosis will not interfere with the treatment of traditional medicine.

I must freely descend and climb the steps. But the problem is that every time I'm going to make such a movement, my knee becomes notlerable.

RT: Oh, as it should be unpleasant. Before we continue, let me talk to your doctor and orthopedic.

The orthopedist Judy gave me accurate information about the muscle groups involved in the bending of the knee. The attending physician said that Judy needs to learn how to flex a bruised knee, when the other foot begins to lower the "peak ^ smiling, making the next step.

After I found out everything about the health of Judy, we wrote three suggestions on how her knee should function. Then we talked about her life, about the family, about the style of life before the operation, about her future plans. Sometimes she began to be a little nervous, then I tried to find another topic for conversation. She gladly spoke about a new house, about his son, who studied in junior grade, while talking about her husband and the inability to continue skiing, it seemed very upset her. Remember, Judy came to me not for psychotherapeutic advice. For 10 minutes, the conversation was somewhat relaxed, and I switched to the next stage.

RT: Must be, hypnosis surprises you, I will explain the upcoming procedure and tell you what you can expect. Please, freely ask me questions.

(I intentionally used the word "surprises", and not "confuses" to positively reformulate the feelings of Judy. Judy leaned back his chair - I, imitating her, also rejected back.)

After completing the conversation, I began to apply the induction technique, which should bring Judy to a receptive condition and under] to prepare the soil for making my suggestion

Hypostlovar

Induction is a technique used by a hypnologist to help the customer relax and achieve a state susceptible to suggestions - trance.

You enter trance

I connect Judy's attention, using the word "interesting." I tell her that when she will fulfill a simple task with whom, will undoubtedly cope, all that surrounds her will lose their clear outlines. Her task is to focus its eyes. I remind her, building sentences with the pronoun "we" that we work together that we have a common goal.

be careful

For hypnotic induction, words, music or paintings are used, but not a massage or other type of physical impact.

RT: Hypnosis is a useful and interesting experience. Try to concentrate on something your view while I speak. Many people like to look at this drawer. ~~ ".

* Now I say words slowly and calmly, I explain Judy what you already know:

* For hypnosis, it is fully responsible for itself.

* She can't get stuck in the trance for a long time.

* The most important thing for her that her mind is able to control the body.

Further I give Judy to install the body relaxation and mind. I'm talking about soothing her muscles. The words "calmly", "pacificate", "conveniently" I repeat several times in a minute, pronouncing her leisurely phrases. Each time, using these words, I change the tone of the voice, slow down the pace. I did not tell Judy directly that she should feel. I did not order her: "Relax! Take it easy! Feel the convenience! " Instead, I used hidden suggestions. Some of these proposals looked like this:

* It is very pleasant to feel comfortable.

* Did you notice how calm the ocean today? (We can use the view of the Atlantic Ocean from my window.)

* Some people calm down, looking at the ocean.

* It is good that the phone stopped calling phones. Wonderful when even things calm down.

I noticed that Judy's breath became uneven. Perhaps, waiting for a new experience. And I noticed that it would be nice to calm the breath. I told her that many people during hypnosis felt heaviness in the whole body, especially in their hands and legs. I wondered out loud, whether she feels great gravity in his hands or, on the contrary, her legs became heavier than hands.

Induction is a process that is used to guide the client from a conventional state in trance. All together: my rhythmic voice, a concentration on an object, soothing suggestion, induce hypnotic state.

Hypostlovar

Hidden suggestion is words or phrases that are purposefully included in the usual conversation. The listener receives suggestion.

Judy seemed to be struggling to concentrate on the drawer. She was sitting without moving, her gaze was close, although the eyes blinking. I tried to adjust the rhythm of my speech to the oppression of her age. She covered her eyes - I continued to talk. She was very attentive to my words. At that moment I reminded her that we would soon reach the goal, which is very important for her. Then I said: "Please close your eyes when you are ready to start."

After 30 seconds, Judy's eyes closed. Now it is in a hypnotic state, and I can go to the next part of the session. I will need to make her suggestion that we together made up, but at first I decided to immerse it in a deeper hypnotic state.

The recess implies:

* Increase the depth of immersion in trance.

* Increased probability of suggestion unconscious.

* Deeper experiences.

* More interesting experience.

We stay in the trane

One of many possible deepening methods in this case is a staircase. Judy's problems begin on the steps. Consequently, there must also be to seek their permission.

Using a staircase as a way to deepen a hypnotic state, I give Judy the following instructions:

RT: Please imagine a staircase. It can be a staircase from a movie or book, imagined or well known to you. She can be old and shaky, leading to the street, and may be inside your home. When you see this staircase, try to imagine yourself standing on the bottom step. Clearly seeing yourself and the staircase, please nod, please head.

Judi's head nodded to Judo in 20. Her eyes were tightly closed,! Breathing has become very calm, the face is relaxed. I continued: "You see yourself climbing the stairs. With each step you are immersed deeper and deeper into the hypnotic state. When you reach the upper step, you will be in a deep hypnotic dream, you will be ready to accept the suggestion that I will offer you. This suggestion will strengthen your health, improving your life. "

Hypostlovar

The recess occurs when instructions enhance hypnotic experience are given. The deepening is usually accompanied by an increase in the brightness and imagination language.

RT: Please go up slowly - we have enough time. When you reach the vertex, nod your head.

While Judy rises on the stairs in his imagination, I slowly and repeat the words:

RT: Deeper and deeper You are immersed in hypnosis ... deeper and deeper ...

When she nodded her head, I switched to the text of the hypnotic message, that is, I used those three sentences that we prepared in advance. I read them slowly and clearly, making pauses after each phrase. Then I asked her to imagine myself a step down. Judy's face became anxious, she began to sob. Then I repeated the proposal containing an indication of how to keep a foot and knee, going down the steps. I asked her to see myself performing this instruction. I spoke very slowly, demanded to repeat such a step several times and nod a head when she feels something easily owning his foot. I waited three minutes before I saw the nod.

RT: Wonderful! You did it! I congratulate you. Each step down will be given to you easier than the previous one. You descend almost without much difficulty, and soon you will do it simple and quickly.

During hypnosis, it is good if the client first receives speech instructions, and then has the opportunity to submit what he was told about. The more feelings are included in the image creation, the better the result will be achieved.

Exit from hypnosis

Judy everything turned out. Now I will prepare it to return to a normal state.

RT: Now it is time to get out of hypnosis and return to reality. Imagine yourself descending on the stairs. With each step you will be more awakening from trance. When you get to the bottom step, today's meeting with hypnosis will end for you. You will return to the usual state of consciousness. Please do not hurry - you have nowhere to hurry. You descend from the stairs when you are ready for this.

All you have achieved today will remain with you. Every time you feel the need to hear my words, they will come to you. One of my voices will be enough for you to remember what they have mastered today.

Hypostlovar

The suggestion and other words, pronouncing the client in the trance form a hypnotic scenario. The hypnologist and the client, even before the start of the session, together constitute a hypnotic scenario.

I waited a long three minutes, which seemed eternity in a quiet room. Judy began to move restlessly, but her eyes remained closed. Finally, she straightened, stirred up, squeezed and crushed the fist. All this was done with closed eyes.

RT: You know when you open your eyes.

Judy opened his eyes, surprise and smile appeared on her face. She said nothing, but sat satisfied.

RT: I hope you enjoyed it. Please call me next week and tell you how you will feel on the steps. I think the stairs will not now present problems for you, and we will not need to meet again.

Judy did not attempt to rise. She was as nice to be in my office, like at home. She was sitting anywhere in a hurry and relaxing. I already heard my next client communicated with Jenny (my secretary) in the reception. And Judy was not going anywhere.

I told Judy that many people after hypnosis feel very comfortable and cozy, and do not continue against these experiences. "However, I added," now you need to leave my office. " I suggested for her about 10 minutes to stay in the reception room. During this time, weakness disappeared, and Judy went home safely. She called in 2 weeks and reported that it was almost completely free to walk on the stairs.

Session Hypnosis

You observed a complete hypnosis session consisting of the following parts:

1. Interview (preliminary conversation)

2. Drawing up a hypnotic message (or just suggestion)

3. Induction

4. Grocery

5. suggestion

6. Trance exit

7. Support client before leaving

Now that Judy went, we can discuss in detail each part of the session.

Interesting details

The hypnologist will be very useful to use all the extraneous noises for induction. If a dog is barking outside the window, the hypnologist can say that each dog "GAV" will immerse the client in a deeper hypnotic state. Thus, any noise can be turned out of interference to the helper.

Possible complications of hypnosis and contraindications (I. P. Bryazgunov Hypnotherapy of children and adolescents)

It should be said that there are no methods of treatment and medicines that would not have any side effects. It depends not only on the method of treatment, medication, its dose, duration of use, etc., but also from the individual characteristics of a person or another. Bee bite for one person may be blessing, to provide the therapeutic effect, in the other - to lead to death (which, fortunately, is extremely rare), due to a pronounced allergic reaction. It should be immediately noted that the clinical hypnosis is fundamentally different from experimental, pop or sports. In the practice of domestic psychotherapy, specialists in the field of psychology belong to hypnosis with underlined care, considering it a purely medical method.

Bryazgunov Igor Pavlovich - Doctor medical Sciences, Professor. Head of the laboratory of the psychosomatic pathology of the Scientific Center for the Health of Children's Ramna. He graduated from the Winnitsky State Medical Institute, therapeutic faculty, graduate school in the I Clinic of the Older Pediatrics of the Russian RAMS of the USSR (Moscow). In this institute, he worked the younger, then the senior and leading scientific officer of the Cardiology department. PhD dissertation defended in 1967, doctoral dissertation - In 1978do.

Issued questions and members of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and members of the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. Among the complications of hypnosis were noted: the emergence of severe fear, panic attacks, increased dependence on hypnotherapist, headaches, dizziness, behavior violations, fantasies for sexual topics, suicidal thoughts or attempts in patients who have already suffered depressed, fainting, loss of rapport. Single severe complications of hypnosis are usually described in connection with pop hypnosis.

If the hypnosis in the clinic is intended for the treatment of the patient and a qualified specialist is involved in this, then pop hypnosis is a stage action intended for entertainment of the public. Popy hypnotists have their own, defined behavior manner. Everyone is invited to enter the scene and take part in the session.

Then the scene takes place on the stage, on peculiar signs of the pop hypnotist leaves those who will not "resist" hypnosis. On the stage remains a carefully selected group of wishing to participate in the presentation. Introducing the members of the group in trance, the pop hypnotist for fun to the public causes them to fulfill any of his desires. Sometimes it can affect human health. Among the severe side effects of hypnosis may (fortunately rarely) hysterical fit, hysterical hypnotic and spontaneous somnambulism. It is possible to complicate in hypnosis with a sudden transition of hypnosis into a hysterical fit with "violence" or to a hysterical stupor or twilight disorder of consciousness. The hypnotist should be able to quickly stop this condition with a sharp, powerful and imperative tone to offer a patient to calm down, bring it out of a trance, to make it drinking water, and then give soothing means (bromis, Valerian).

Entity and personality in the psyche of man. Report of Professor Tabidze in OPL

Lecture on hypnosis in the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League.

It is much less likely during a hypnotic session there are hysterical seizures, the so-called hysterical hypnode. It arises from deep hysterical, neurotic personalities. At the very beginning of hypnotization, they may have a typical hysterical seas with screaming, sobbing, sobbing, convulsions. Only in patients with hysteria in extremely rare cases, hypnotic sleep can move into a state of hysterical stupor.

With spontaneous somnambulism, the patient suddenly loses a rapport with a hypnocologist, as it flows into a somnambulic state, he appears hallucinations, complex forms of behavior are being implemented: the subject gets up, walks, appeals to imaginary persons, plays some role or episode from its past or imaginary life . Below is an example of spontaneous somnambulism.

F. Machovec (248) leads a description of the case when a teenage girl felt "not good" after a session of mass pop hypnosis. Her tongue was in the throat, and the girl began to choke. In the hospital, in which she was hospitalized, she fell into a deep stupor, did not answer the questions, did not distinguish objects, people. Watched urine delay. Clinical and laboratory examination (inspection of a neuropathologist, an electrocardiogram, an electroencephalogram, an analysis of the spinal fluid) did not reveal deviations. The resulting pop hypnotist was unable to provide effective help. In a stuporous state, the patient was within a week. Secondary complications developed: the infection of the upper respiratory tract and the urinary tract. The psychiatrist was attempting to treat a girl with hypnosis. Its condition temporarily improved, but after three months there was a relapse: headaches, asthenia appeared. The repeated session was more difficult - it took two days to bring the patient to a normal state, and six months of weekly hypnosis sessions to prevent recurrence.

The authors of the article noted that earlier, the girl had no mental disorders to pop hypnosis. Another example described in Article F. Machovec (248). The complication after the hypnosis session arose from a woman born in France, which at the age of 6 was hiding from the Nazis during World War II. At middle age, during a session of pop hypnosis, she felt something "wrong" with her. The next day, she developed a dissociative state, delinealization, depersonalization, child behavior, headache, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, depression, episodic psychotic decompensation and spontaneous trans. These symptoms have decreased and disappeared after a single session in a hypnotherapist.

We observed two cases of hypnosis complications in individuals who visited the sessions of mass hypnosis, which were held in the club. The student girl was directly involved in the mass hypnosis conducted in the Club. She performed on the demand of the hypnotist yogan exercises. After the session, the girl at home continued to perform yoga exercises constantly and day and night, and no correction was given in. When examining a psychiatrist, it was recorded confused, she was poorly focused in the surrounding environment. When conversation with her, psychophysical depletion was revealed - the attacks of drowsiness, the desire to lean or put his head on the table. The girl was hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital, where she was diagnosed with schizophrenia. Of course, it did not hypnosis caused schizophrenia, which she developed downstream, but he could cause an aggravation of the disease.

The girl committed suicide with him, having thrown away from the 12th floor. Another case of hysterical hypnoid occurred at the representation of one famous healer. One of the participants in mass hypnosis appeared uncontrolled hysterical crying, which was not stopped for a long time. At one of the last World Congresses on hypnosis, a report was presented in which information was given on complications of hypnosis conducted on the stage. These include the emergence of fear of fear, in some - the appearance of a long sense of shame, the occurrence of spontaneous and uncontrolled transit state and even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The term "post-traumatic stress disorder" is actively introduced into medical practice since 1980. It is included in the official American nomenclature of mental illness, as a condition caused by heavy stress. This condition may appear at any person, regardless of age, including the child. The symptoms of PTSD in a person who was exposed to mental injury, in some cases suppressed and hidden.

On the early stage The patient may suffer only with a long insomnia, he has manifestations of depression or difficulties in communicating with people, in some cases he may not be aware of the complexity of its position. Typical symptoms include intrusive experiences, nightmares, sense of alienation, emotional care and loss of interest in life. Hypersensitivity, nervousness, insomnia, inability to focus on a long period of time are noted. In some cases, the impact takes place not only on those who survived in catastrophes, or those who have lost a beloved person, but also on rescuers - witnesses of these events. Symptoms may be discovered in mentally immature people who have gradually accumulate stress. Even the scenes of violence, disasters shown on television, can lead to the development of PTSP (especially for children). We spent epidemiological studies among children school age Revealed PTSP in 30% of cases, at the same time among children suffering from psychosomatic functional diseases, this figure reached 50%.

In its own observations in clinical conditions (more than 1000 children and adolescents), we recorded only single and minor complications during and after hypnotherapy: in the form of a headache from one child, dizziness - one, weaknesses in the legs - one, obedience in the neck And the hand is also a child. After the appropriate suggestions, these consequences were quickly eliminated and did not renew. It should be borne in mind that we have observed a careful selection of children for hypnotherapy with the exception of children who have absolute and relative contraindications.

Machover for a long time was engaged in collecting information about hypnosis complications and, on the basis of his own experience, believes that the risk factors of hypnosis complications are divided into three parts:

1) risk factors from the patient,
2) risk factors from the hypnotherapist,
3) Risk factors from the outside environment.

To avoid complications related to the first group, it is required before hypnotherapy to carry out a thorough selection of patients for this method of treatment: collect family and personal history, assess the physical and mental state of the patient at the time of treatment. Risk factors from the hypnotherapist are divided into professional and personal. Professional factors include:

Lack of knowledge
lack of experience
lack of training
lack of abilities.

Personal factors include:

Alcoholic, drug addiction,
Personal addiction (ethnic, religious, racial).

The hypnotherapist should be competent in the adjacent areas of medicine: in psychiatry, therapy, and if working with children - in pediatrics, etc. The list of diseases in which hypnosis is not recommended, we led to above. Hypnosis as one of the methods of psychotherapy should be applied only in the treatment of those diseases in which it can benefit. It is necessary to obtain the consent of the patient or parents of a child who is treated with hypnosis. Children with a rich imagination, as we said, are well amenable to hypnosis, usually it applies to children over seven years old. And this is not because they are afraid of any unwanted influence on the psyche, but because the child must understand what a hypnotherapist wants from him.

The difference between hypnosis from other "states"

There is an opinion that hypnosis weakens the will, reduces resistance nervous system In unfavorable life situations. Due to the fact that hypnosis historically attributed mysterious properties, some people are afraid of hypnosis, which seems to be like something that can change their personality. Fear to fall asleep and not wake up, weaken the will, fall into the trance spontaneously, etc.

However, it is impossible to agree with this. Hypnosis does not deprive the forces of the will and does not interfere with distinguishing good from evil. It is the hypnosis that is a means of combating weakened will in alcoholics and smokers and owners of other bad habits. Hypnotherapy strengthens the will, activates the person, mobilizes the physical and mental reserves of the body. L.P.Grimak is a well-known Russian psychologist and a hypno therapist, the author of famous books on hypnosis, for many years working with our cosmonauts, proved that under the influence of hypnosis, there are no structural identity changes (54, 56). V.M. Bekhterev (7) On the basis of numerous clinical and experimental observations, in the 1990s of the last century, the pathological nature of the hypnotic state has categorically denied the pathological nature of the hypnotic state.

The above-described hypnosis complications can be easily avoided if the hypnotherapist specialist will perform all the rules for the prevention of risk factors. It should be noted that heavy complications are not typical, are observed extremely rarely and described in single observations. But they should be aware of them that the patient himself could conclude: whether to participate in a mass pop hypnosis whether he will apply for help from a hypnobologist or healers who do not have a complex of scientific knowledge.

E.R.hilgard and A.h.Morgan (218) In experiments on 220 healthy students, the short-term effects of thesis (drowsiness, light headache) have 7.7% of the subjects. Fast dehypnotization can cause a number of unpleasant subjective sensations: dizziness, weakness, heartbeat, feeling of anxiety. Hypnosis is an equal treatment method along with other methods, but has several advantages over drugs, since there are no side effects of medicinal substances and body allergy. Hypnosis is not a universal method, has indications and contraindications. Hypnotherapy conducted by a specialist allows to avoid unwanted side effects of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is the most mysterious of all existing treatment techniques. Only it is enveloped by so much myths and legends. In society there was a steady stereotype, which hypnosis is certainly associated with witchcraft, otherwise powerful and something magical. But, despite the abundance of prejudices, the effectiveness of hypnotic sessions of medicine was officially recognized, and such healing procedures are already carried out in many medical institutions.

Fig. What problems solves and how is the hypnosis procedure?

How is the hypnotic session?

For a start, the hypnobologist spends a conversation with a patient, during which he evaluates his condition, finds out what he expects from treatment, responds to questions of interest. Next, the patient is invited to take a comfortable position, sitting in the chair or on the couch. The eyes should be closed. The hypnologist includes a calm musical work, allowing the patient to relax, immersed in the world of its own sensations.

After that, the specialist encourages the patient to listen to his voice. Text, of course, each hypnologist is different. But the essence of the utter speech has always remains the same: "Soon you will completely relax, you will envelop a light drema, you don't want to move, the body will be filled with pleasant severity, all problems and adversity will remain far behind ..."

After the hypnobologist gave a complete setup to the patient, it leads it from the state of the trance. This often uses a certain phrase or word. The patient is awakened, but at the same time understands that he did not sleep at all, but was in a state, reminiscent of oblivion, obsession or a half.
