1. Pit trap

And the soldier, who is blindly wandering along the half-flooded path discovered with such difficulty, will obviously not be happy to fail and run into these surprises with all his weight. There is also a complicated version - in addition to the stakes, spikes were installed on the sides on the bottom, directed diagonally downwards. If a soldier tried to pull his leg out, he also ran into these spikes. And a very difficult option - two logs studded with nails. 2. Molotov cocktail
This improvised weapon has already become a classic for most modern riots. And all because it is extremely simple.
Hot Finnish guys were the first to think of such an effective means of destroying manpower and armored vehicles during the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940. And it was they who called these cute bottles “Molotov Cocktail”, since Comrade Molotov was at that time the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR and was, in principle, responsible for starting the war.

Wherever it was not used - and during the Second World War, when the USSR had huge problems with armored vehicles, so armor and weapons were even put on tractors, and during the first Arab-Israeli conflict, when the Jews did not yet have their own Merkav, and on eastern Ukraine, and on both sides of the conflict.
And all because this makeshift weapons extremely simple principle. A powerful wheelbase is taken (a truck, a tractor, anything that can carry a lot of weight) and sheathed with thick metal sheets. The thicker, the more reliable. Actually, everything. From shrapnel and bullets improvised weapon protect, the soldier will deliver to the destination. And if you install a machine gun, then it will cover it with fire. In a word, simple and effective.

It is possible to manufacture not only “cold” weapons from wood. You can make something like a pistol or a gun, but you need to understand that it will not last long. The algorithm for making a pistol is simple: you need to make a frame from wood to which the barrel is attached, as well as a trigger mechanism with a striker, you can add a magazine. It is difficult to make a full-fledged pistol out of wood, but you can make a dart gun, which will become a full-fledged hunting projectile.
