Support installation methods

There are several proven ways to build quality fencing around your area. Before installing the supports, determine the distance between them. It should be 2.5-3 meters or correspond to the dimensions of the finished section (welded fence).

  1. Screw piles. The big advantage of this type is the ability to mount on any soil, on various terrain (even on slopes), at any time of the year and weather. Installation screw piles does not require additional investments. Piles can be transferred from one place to another without prejudice to their condition. They can even withstand heavy fences. The posts are screwed in manually or using special equipment.
  2. Concreting of pillars. With the help of a drill, holes are drilled in the ground to a depth of 1 m to 1.5 m.After that, medium and fine crushed stone is poured into the bottom of the dug hole in a layer of 0.25 m. Then a profiled pipe is installed and leveled at a level or plumb line. To obtain stability to the bottom of the posts, pieces of reinforcement are welded perpendicularly. The lower part of the pipe must be treated against rust. First, the pillars are installed in the corners, then a lace is pulled between them, and the rest of the supports are set along it. Aligned and installed pipes are filled with concrete or cement mortar in a ratio of 1/8. For control, they are checked again with a lace and a level, since after the solution has solidified, it will be difficult to correct the shortcomings. To build a high-quality metal fence, its supports need to stand for several days.
  3. Strip foundation... It is more often used to build a fence on moving soils. First, a trench is dug along the entire perimeter of the site 0.25 m wide and 0.50 m deep. There is no need to make a deeper foundation for a metal fence. A small cushion of sand is poured into the bottom of the trench and spilled with water. The entire foundation is connected around the perimeter with reinforcement. It should not touch the bottom and walls of the trench; for this, pieces of brick are placed under the reinforcement. The height of the foundation above the ground is 0.20-0.25 m. For this, before pouring, it is necessary to install the formwork of the required size. In order for the foundation to gain the required strength, it needs to stand for 7-10 days until it dries completely. The strip foundation will not only firmly hold your fence, but also keep your pets safe and sound, which will not have the opportunity to slip under the fence to walk around the area.

The installed supports are primed and painted to avoid corrosion and give them an aesthetic appearance. From above, the pillars are closed from precipitation with special plugs or welded with pieces of metal.

Installation of a metal fence

After choosing the type of metal fence and the method of installing the supports, we move on to the most beautiful part of the construction of the fence - directly hanging it. To hang the welded sections on the fence, it is necessary to attach metal rods to the support by welding in two or three places. Welded sections are welded directly to these rods.

To pull the mesh netting to the supports, hooks must be screwed or welded by welding. The mesh is tied to them with a wire threaded into the mesh of the chain-link.
