Sagan-daylya is the Buryat name of a medicinal plant known to botanists as Adams' Rhododendron. It is also called the strangled wild rosemary, sagandali, “white wings”.

Like all rhododendrons, this species has a decorative appearance and beautiful flowers. The evergreen shrub is a perennial, it grows to a height of 50 centimeters, usually spreads wide branches. The leaves of the sagan-dail are oval in shape with a sharp tip, the upper part is colored green, the lower one orange, yellow or gray. The favorite habitats of Adams' rhododendron are mountainous areas; it can climb to a height of more than 2 km above sea level. Prefers rocky soil, medium moisture. Sagan-daila grows well in tundra conditions. Sagan-daila can hibernate under a snow cover. The Tibetan foothills, the Mongolian mountains, the Sayan Mountains, the Far Eastern regions of Russia, including the island of Sakhalin, correspond to these conditions. Sagan-daylya grows in some regions of Siberia, in Yakutia, on Lake Baikal. Thickets of Adams' rhododendron can be found in the Chita Region, Krasnoyarsk Territory, and also in Buryatia.
