Panel of watermelon seeds. Master class on making crafts “Family of hedgehogs in the autumn forest” from watermelon seeds

Seeds are an excellent starting material for creating various crafts. You can always find a lot of seeds, they easily stick to almost any material, and you can make a lot of beautiful things from them. Crafts made from watermelon seeds can give you real aesthetic pleasure!

Panel of watermelon seeds “Sunflower”

Using watermelon seeds and dried leaves you can create a very beautiful panel. Take cardboard, PVA glue and a brush for it, dry watermelon seeds, dry green and yellow leaves of different sizes, Jerusalem artichoke flowers and poppy seeds. Cut out a circle from thick cardboard (if you can’t find a compass, trace the outline of the plate).

Make a slit at the top of the circle with an awl or a stationery knife (the panel will need to be hung). Fill the entire circle with double-sided tape; you will glue the material onto it, which is very convenient. If desired, you can glue the seeds and leaves with PVA glue. Peel off the top layer of tape, exposing the sticky part, and get to work. Place a rowan berry in the center of the composition and begin to cover it in a circle with seeds.

Crafts made from watermelon seeds usually require painstaking and patient work. When there is about 4 cm left to the edge, start laying leaves on the panel in a circle. The last circle is Jerusalem artichoke leaves. We fill the remaining free space with poppy seeds. We insert a beautiful bow into the hole on top and tie it with a knot. As you can see, it’s not at all difficult to make from watermelon seeds!

Hedgehog made from watermelon seeds

To make a funny hedgehog you need to take cardboard, watermelon seeds, multi-colored plasticine and varnish to cover the work. Sketch a hedgehog on cardboard and cut out the template. Spread a not too thick layer of plasticine over the entire back of the hedgehog. Stick the seeds into the plasticine on the back - these are hedgehog needles. You can also make eyes, nose and mouth from plasticine.

If desired, the back can be decorated with plasticine mushrooms and berries. When the craft is ready, coat it with varnish. You can make several of these hedgehogs and place them on a clearing - a cardboard sheet.

Crafts from watermelon seeds: panel “Black Cat”

Even elementary schoolchildren can make such a beautiful cat. To create it you will need watermelon seeds, cardboard, velvet and corrugated colored paper, thick threads, glue, pencil and scissors. First, cut out a template from black velvet paper. You will need the following parts: a cat's head, a body in the form of a large loop and a tail. Cut out the parts and carefully glue them along the contour inside and outside with thick threads. Then you need to stick watermelon seeds over the entire surface of the parts. By the way, they stick perfectly to velvet paper.

When all the seeds are glued, you need to combine the parts with each other using glue. We glue the cat's face to one side of the loop, and attach the tail to the other. Paint two watermelon seeds with green paint and stick them on the face - these are the eyes. Use a red bead to make a nose for the cat.

Children's crafts made from watermelon seeds perfectly develop imagination and hand motor skills. To give your elegant cat a finished look, glue it onto cardboard and frame it.

Crafts from watermelon seeds: horse

Even a preschooler can make such a horse. Making it builds perseverance in a child and develops imagination. First, you need to copy using special paper or stencil the image of a horse on cardboard. Then we smear the horse over the entire surface with PVA glue. Carefully place the watermelon seeds along the contour. Then lay out the seeds in a chaotic manner over the entire area. It is better to fill all the gaps as much as possible. Don't forget to add a mane of watermelon seeds. The work is almost finished, all that remains is to brighten it up. Use black gouache to outline the horse. Outline your mane with any bright paint. You can draw grass, the sun and anything else the child wishes. By inserting the picture into a frame, you will give it a finished and elegant look.

Now you know how to make crafts from watermelon seeds. They will not only help you spend time fun and usefully, but can also be an excellent unusual gift. Natural material will always be one of the favorite options for crafts, because it is beautiful, inexpensive and looks exclusive!

DIY crafts made from grains, cereals and various seeds are a great way to keep children busy, because working with such natural material perfectly trains fine motor skills, which helps improve general and speech development. Also, such activities help to cultivate patience, diligence and perseverance in children.

Features of creativity using natural materials

Not only schoolchildren can make crafts from cereals with their own hands, because such joint creativity is suitable even for small children. True, you will need to be with the kids constantly so that they do not harm themselves in any way.

So, the following materials may be useful to you:

  • all kinds of cereals and grains - buckwheat, rice, millet, semolina;
  • legumes - peas, lentils and multi-colored beans;
  • any seeds and seeds - watermelon, pumpkin, melon and sunflower, etc.

You can even take it. Also in the process you will need: thick paper or cardboard, glue, scissors, fabric, plasticine, templates of various patterns, decorations (at your request).

The best DIY crafts made from cereals, seeds and sunflower seeds are appliqués and paintings. You can come up with stories with your child yourself, or use some ready-made templates and transfer them to paper. The complexity of the work should depend on the age of the children; keep in mind that the child should be interested in making the craft on his own, even with your help, but not be completely aloof.

We create applications and paintings with our own hands

The topic of work can be anything. But crafts made from grains and other natural materials on the theme of spring turn out to be very beautiful and original. Spring landscapes (crafts made from watermelon seeds and cereals), lush flowers (flowers made from pumpkin seeds are especially good - asters, sunflowers, snowdrops) are great ideas for children's creativity.

The more different cereals, seeds and seeds you use, the better, because they all not only vary in size and shape, but also in color and texture. That is, you will have a huge space for imagination and creativity. And if your grain craft requires some special colors, then you can always paint your materials using watercolors or gouache.

Try starting with a simple appliqué. For example, as a craft, you can make a basket with flowers from pumpkin seeds.

  1. Draw the outlines of the basket on a piece of thick paper or cardboard and spread them with glue.
  2. Next, place pumpkin seeds along these contours to make a three-dimensional basket.
  3. Inside, draw flowers in exactly the same way - these can be sunflowers, asters, poppies, daisies, snowdrops or any others. Use seeds of various sizes to create them - pumpkin, watermelon, sunflower seeds.
  4. The centers of the flowers can be made from beads or filled with fine grains.
  5. Paint your bouquet and paint the basket brown. You can decorate the applique with sparkles or stickers, or add some plasticine details.

It’s easy to make a vase with flowers on the spring theme - just like a basket. To keep children's crafts made from seeds for a long time and not fall off, you can spray them with hairspray or coat them with clear nail polish.

A favorite activity for children will be creating applications and paintings depicting various animals, birds or fish. Together with your child, come up with a plot and bring the fairy tale to life using crafts made from pumpkin or watermelon seeds, as well as other various materials.

Fish, hedgehogs, bees, snails, ducks, cats and other animals are incredibly cute. See how easy it is to make a picture of a hedgehog as a craft from seeds.

  1. Print out a drawing of a hedgehog or draw one yourself.
  2. Apply a good layer of glue to his back and start gradually attaching seeds to him (these could be watermelon seeds or sunflower seeds).
  3. You need to glue the seeds so that they all point with their sharp tips in one direction.
  4. You can simply paint the rest of the hedgehog’s body, and attach mushrooms or fruits made from plasticine to its spines.

But what an interesting picture you can create with a peacock using watermelon seeds, as well as semolina and corn grits.

  1. Draw a peacock on thick paper or print out a ready-made template (even regular coloring books will do).
  2. Apply glue to the round ends of the feathers and cover them with corn grits. Do the same with the bird's legs.
  3. When it dries a little, shake off the remaining residue from the sheet.
  4. Decorate the feathers with watermelon seeds, gluing each one tightly.
  5. After some time, cover the entire remaining peacock image with glue, except for the head, and fill it with semolina, while clearing the contours with a toothpick.
  6. You can paint the head and decorate the picture as you wish. As you can see, crafts from watermelon seeds are very simple to make.

Other ideas for crafts made from natural materials

A picture can be not only an image of something, but also simply a panel made of cereals, seeds and other natural materials.

It is better to make such a panel on fabric (as a rule, burlap or other natural fabric is used), but you can also use paper. Divide your space into different sectors - these could be geometric shapes or abstraction, and then fill them with various grains and seeds (choose material of different colors, textures and shapes, combine them and try to combine them correctly).

To separate the sectors, use jute twine - then your natural panel will turn out more organic. Usually such paintings are not painted, but they can be fixed with varnish.

With older children, you can try to create three-dimensional figures or toys, like crafts from seeds and cereals. Then the material will need to be attached to the frame of your product, for example, you can make a house for some fairy-tale character, a mold for a candlestick, or decorate a photo frame.

Do-it-yourself crafts from seeds is an idea for a wonderful joint creativity with children, which will bring benefits and a good mood for your whole family.

In winter, when it’s cloudy and cold outside, it’s nice to remember summer and the flowers that give us a unique aroma and beauty. And I want to do something that will pleasantly surprise and delight my friends and family. The boxes on the shelf contain seeds of plants, vegetables, and summer-dried flowers. They conceal warmth, light and the smell of summer. The idea of creating a composition from seeds comes to mind. Creating paintings and crafts from natural materials is a special type of creativity called floristry. In works of floristry, dry leaves, flowers, herbs, seeds and fruits of plants, and tree bark are used. Various forms of natural materials often suggest interesting subjects. By fantasizing, imagining, and combining natural materials, you can create amazing things with your own hands.

Today I am offering a master class on making flowers from seeds.
Look at the seeds of pumpkin, melon, and watermelon. What do they remind you of? Of course flower petals. Try to collect these petals into beautiful flowers. This is what happened.

To compose a composition from seeds, you will need the following materials and tools:
- frame, blue fabric;
- thick white paper;
- pumpkin seeds, buckwheat;
- dried corn leaves, straws;
- birch bark;
- scissors, gouache paints, brush;
- Titan glue;

Step-by-step execution of a bouquet from natural material.
Prepare the frame. Remove the glass and stretch the fabric over the cardboard or glue a sheet of colored paper.

Mark circles with a diameter of 2-3cm, 4cm, 6-7cm on hard paper and cut them out. I used different sized jars.

Apply Titan glue along the edge of the circle and glue pumpkin seeds. We got flowers.

Mix yellow paint with a small amount of PVA glue and carefully paint the petals. Let dry and apply clear nail polish.
Then grease the middle of the flower well with glue and sprinkle with buckwheat.

While the paint on the petals is drying, let's start making the leaves. We will make them from corn leaves. (The corn leaves were ironed and press-dried in the fall).

For twigs, use straws.

Make a vase. Give free rein to your imagination. A vase, for example, can be made: from paper sprinkled with small seeds; from dried leaves; from straw. We will make it from birch bark. Take thick cardboard, fold it in half, draw a vase and cut it out.

Cut the birch bark into thin strips. Lubricate one edge of the vase with Titan glue and glue the strips of birch bark horizontally.

Start weaving. Sequentially weave all the strips vertically into the workpiece, securing them at the ends with glue.

Cut long strips along the contour of the vase. Glue the border. The vase is ready.

We form a bouquet. Glue the vase, then arrange the twigs - straws.
Start filling the bouquet with leaves. First the background, and then the foreground, giving the composition the desired shape and silhouette. Lightly smooth the leaves through the paper with your palm. Leave 2-3 sheets raised. This will create volume.

Glue the flowers. Place large ones below, smaller ones above, and buds at the top of the bouquet.
