Alexander took his son to America, began to treat. Things were going well across the ocean. Income allowed to maintain even a car with a personal driver. And the situation in the family seemed to be discharged - Mark came to Moscow every few months, always brought gifts to family and friends. Undoubtedly, he realized everything and wanted to be cured, but periodically broke down again and again. It seemed to Mark that if sometimes a little, it does not affect the process of treatment itself...

In the winter of 1998, Mark again came to visit his relatives in Moscow. He was cheerful, full of plans for the future. He said that he was being treated and wanted to be cured. In general, there were no reasons for depression. But when meeting with old friends, Mark could not refuse another dose of heroin.

His buddies, who were safely out of the narcotic dope, called an ambulance. When asked who needs a doctor, they honestly answered: “A drug addict. He's overdosing!" They were told: “Wait…” We had to wait three hours.
All this time, Mark fought on the hands of friends. They covered him with blankets, put a spoon in his teeth. In a drug attack, Mark called his relatives: "Mom, Lena ... Lucy." He called Lucy Gurchenko, because Lyudmila Markovna did not want to be a "grandmother."
