IP212-52M - single-position linear detectors, consisting of a transceiver and a reflector reflector. In the transceiver, the optical channels are separated and isolated in a two-chamber optical system.
As a reflector-reflector IP212-52M uses a high-performance reflector (reflector), capable of performing its functions even when its surface deviates relative to the optical beam by ±10 - 15 degrees.
Operating principle:
The principle of operation of the detectors is based on the property of reducing the power of an optical beam that has passed through a smoky environment. The detector's transmitter generates periodic bursts of infrared pulses.
A significant difference in the operation of two-position and single-position detectors is that in the first case the optical beam overcomes the controlled space once, and in the second case it needs to do this twice. As a result, the attenuation of the received signal for the same smoke level for the second case will be much greater, which makes it possible to set guaranteed-distinguishable response thresholds with a shorter interval. Depending on the size of the protected premises or other features of the application, IP212-52M can be set to four response thresholds (50%, 40%, 30% and 20%).
The consumption of detectors is minimized through the use of original solutions for synchronizing the operation of the receiver and transmitter (for IP212-52M - no more than 1.5 mA), which allows them to be used with control panels in a two-wire connection. The IP212-52M detectors make it possible to connect almost any fire and security devices with both alternating and unipolar voltage to the loops.
In IP212-52M, only the forced synchronization mode is always used (by default, as it is many times more noise-resistant).
On the rear side of the transceiver housing there are terminal blocks for external connections, as well as a program switch for the detector operation tactics.
The IP212-52M detectors include remote devices UV-PRD-PRM, the appearance of which is shown in the figure.

Designed to detect fires accompanied by the appearance of smoke, and transmit the signal of the alarm message "Fire" or "Attention" to control panels; for use in rooms with a large area, large length or high ceilings.
Peculiarities
The detector can be connected to the control panel using either a two-wire or a four-wire alarm loop.
Additional Information
The detector is designed for continuous round-the-clock operation and is used in enclosed spaces of residential and industrial buildings and structures in conjunction with fire control panels (for example, PPK-2, PPK-2M, Raduga, Signal-20P, etc.) and with security and fire control panels (for example, "Akkord", "Nota", "Signal-20", "Signal-VK", "VERS", "Granit", "Vista", etc.).
The principle of operation of the detector is based on the property of reducing the intensity of an optical beam that has passed through a smoky environment. IP212-52M operates in the infrared wavelength range. During installation, the transceiver and reflector-reflector are located opposite each other and adjusted in order to achieve maximum coincidence of the transceiver's radiation pattern with the direction to the reflector. When operating in the normal mode, the transceiver periodically (with an interval of 350 ms) generates bursts of infrared pulses (IR pulses), which, having passed through the controlled environment, reflected from the reflector and again overcome the controlled distance, return to the transceiver, are received and processed by him.
The decision about the presence of smoke in the protected space is made when the intensity of the optical beam decreases to a threshold value (relative to the intensity of the optical beam in a smoke-free environment). The trigger threshold can be selected by setting the operation tactics to 20%, 30%, 40% or 50%. Due to the fact that the beam crosses the controlled space twice, the decrease in beam intensity in percentage terms will be greater than the threshold value and will be: 36% for the 20% threshold, 49% for the 30% threshold, 64% for the 40% threshold and 75% for the 50% threshold. If the beam intensity decreases by more than 98% (corresponds to the threshold of 86%), the notification "Fault-beam" will be recorded.
