I'm having an attack of autumn blues and I'm eating it with flour, sweet and chocolate in the old fashioned way. On the one hand, it’s not bad, of course, because thanks to my weaknesses, my piggy bank is replenished with new wonderful baking recipes. On the other hand... the belly and sides grow well on fast carbohydrates, but not optimism.

But a lot of optimism can be cultivated with good music. A proven method without side effects :) So today I offer you two ways to get your lost spirit back on your feet: lean chocolate manna and great songs...

For lean chocolate manna we will need:

  • 1 glass of semolina;
  • 100 grams of flour;
  • 1 cup of sugar;
  • 1 glass of water;
  • 125 ml. vegetable oil;
  • 3 tbsp. cocoa;
  • 0.5 cups of nuts or seeds;
  • 50 grams of raisins or other dried fruits;
  • 1.5 tsp. baking powder;
  • 20 grams of vanilla sugar.

Let's start baking to the music! Today Regina Spektor will help us, because she is cool. Let's start one of my favorite songs Don't Leave Me (Ne me quitte pas) and get started... Mix semolina with sugar, vanilla sugar and water. Let this mixture stand for 1-2 hours and swell properly.

Then add vegetable oil and a mixture of flour and baking powder to the sounds of Fidelity.

Mix the flour into the semolina-sugar mixture and pour cocoa into the future dough to the rhythm of The Ghost of Corporate Future.

Mix everything again. Now we add nuts and dried fruits to the dough for lean chocolate manna. Phew, finished with the test!

While dancing to On the Radio, lightly grease the baking dish or multicooker bowl with oil or line it with baking paper, place the dough in the mold...

...and put it in the oven for 50 minutes at 180°C (or in a slow cooker for 75 minutes in baking mode). While we enjoy The Calculation and other music, the slow cooker or oven does all the work for us.

During Lent, there is often a lack of something tasty and sweet for tea or coffee. And here a simply gorgeous recipe for chocolate manna without milk, without eggs will come to the rescue - absolutely lean and amazingly tasty! It is very similar to the classic manna, but even better! Super chocolatey, bright, rich taste of Lenten manna will not leave anyone indifferent! Adding nuts and candied fruits to the dough gives the pie a special taste. Sometimes even Lenten baked goods can be no worse than the butter baked goods we are used to, which is why this chocolate pie is very easy to prepare and also very budget-friendly. The ingredients for the manna pie can be bought at any nearby store.

The taste of chocolate manna can be made even richer and brighter by adding a spoonful of coffee to the dough. And on top of the cake you can pour melted dark chocolate and sprinkle with chopped nuts, for example, hazelnuts or walnuts - then you will have a completely lean cake. Such a pie can be included both in the everyday Lenten menu and prepared for holidays that sometimes fall during Lent, for example, on the birthday of a loved one. And just a family tea party with a piece of aromatic lean chocolate pastry is already happiness! Those who fast will understand what I'm talking about ;)

Ingredients

For lean chocolate manna without milk and eggs
semolina 180 g (1 full glass)
water 250 ml (1 full glass)
sugar 210 g (1 cup)
vanilla sugar 10 g
flour 100 g (1 glass before risks)
cocoa powder 30 g (3 heaped tablespoons)
vegetable oil 100 ml (half a glass)
baking powder 1.5 tsp.
candied cherries (you can use any candied or dried fruits) half a glass
walnuts (any nuts can be used) half a glass
powdered sugar for sprinkling

On an excursion to the monastery I tried Lenten chocolate manna. I was amazed that it was completely egg and dairy free.

This is an amazing dish: very tender, fluffy, incredibly tasty. Real cake! I managed to get the recipe for this miracle product. And today I want to tell you how to make lean chocolate manna at home. I make this cake very often, even not during fasting.

The best part is that it is absolutely simple and economical to prepare. And you will see this for yourself soon.

Ingredients:

semolina - 230 grams;
flour - 70 grams;
sugar - 200 grams;
cocoa - 60 grams;
salt - 0.5 teaspoon;
baking powder - 1 teaspoon (heaped);
sunflower oil - 90 milliliters;
water - 400 milliliters;
pitted cherries - 50-100 grams.

For chocolate glaze:

cocoa - 3 tablespoons;
water - 8 tablespoons;
sugar - 2 tablespoons;
vegetable oil - 1 tablespoon.

Lenten chocolate mannik. Step by step recipe

Mix all the dry ingredients: semolina, granulated sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix everything well.
Add refined vegetable oil, water to the dry mass and knead the dough. Recommendation for adding water - do not pour it all at once, but in small portions, in 2-3 additions - this is so that lumps do not form and the dough is homogeneous. As a result, we should get a beautiful brown mass, the consistency of pancakes (maybe a little thicker).
Let the dough stand and rest for 15-20 minutes.
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. I used a mold with a diameter of 27 centimeters.
Pour half of the chocolate dough, level it with a spatula or spoon, and place pitted cherries on top. You can also use any others (canned, frozen, washed fresh), just dry them slightly on a towel.
Carefully pour in the second half of the dough and level it out.
Place in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 20-30 minutes. The time depends on the oven and the diameter of the mold - the smaller the diameter, the longer it will take to bake, because the thickness of the chocolate manna will increase. Also: since my oven gets a little hot on the bottom of the baked goods, I place a bowl of water on the bottom of the oven. And everything bakes evenly for me and doesn’t burn. If you have the same problem, take my advice.
For chocolate glaze: combine cocoa powder, sugar, vegetable oil and water, mix well and put on low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the first gurgles appear. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Pour the finished cooled chocolate manna with lukewarm glaze. It turned out as beautiful as a cake. Place it in the refrigerator for an hour until slightly soaked.

Very tasty pastries.

  • 180 g semolina
  • 100 g flour
  • 200 g sugar
  • 100 g vegetable oil
  • 25 g cocoa powder
  • 250 ml water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. coffee
  • 0.5 tsp. salt
Additives:
  • 200 g berries (I have frozen cherries)
  • 60 g dried fruits (I used raisins and prunes)
  • 60 g nuts (I used walnuts and cashews)
  • frosting as desired

The post continues, so I will continue the topic of Lenten recipes)) Today I am with a Lenten semolina cake, which is based on the familiar proportions for semolina (by the way, here is the recipe for the usual one) - a glass of semolina, flour and sugar, only in this case instead Part of the flour needs to be added cocoa. To make the taste more pronounced and noble, I also added coffee to the composition; I really like it in such chocolate cakes.
As an additive, I took frozen cherries; I can also recommend black currants or other similar juicy and expressive-tasting berries. If you don't have berries, then at least take an apple, cut into small cubes. I also used good sweet prunes mixed with blue raisins for the filling (blue raisins are actually my favorite variety, and they are incredibly good in baking), as well as walnuts mixed with cashews. But, of course, you can choose any other dried fruits and nuts to suit your taste.
The mannik turned out to be so delicious that it exceeded all my wildest expectations, it is simply incredible! I can safely recommend baking it not only during Lent! Delicious! Description of the taste of manna at the end of the recipe;)

Preparation:

Place semolina and sugar in a container in which you will knead the dough. Pour 250 ml of hot water (not boiling water!), leave for 15-30 minutes, this is necessary for the semolina to swell, at the same time the sugar will immediately dissolve. Or fill it with cold water and leave it for a couple of hours, but semolina swells faster in hot water.

Then add vegetable oil, vanilla sugar, salt, mix with a hand whisk.

Dissolve instant coffee in a small container with 2 tsp. hot water. Coffee is not a necessary component; you can omit it if you wish. Add the dissolved coffee to the container.
Mix flour, cocoa (good quality!), baking powder in a separate container.
Add the dry mixture to the container and stir with a whisk.

Pre-defrost the cherries and squeeze them well. If necessary, cut dried fruits into the size of raisins, chop nuts coarsely.
Add berries, dried fruits and nuts to the dough. Mix.

Grease the mold with vegetable oil, sprinkle with semolina, pour in the dough.

Place in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for 30-50 minutes, or until the skewer is dry.
Cool the finished manna completely (!) (it doesn’t taste like hot at all).

Transfer to a plate and drizzle with glaze if desired.
I poured the lean glaze over the manna from my recipe -. It was also ideal for manna. To prepare it, 3 tbsp. cocoa, 3 tbsp. l. sugar, 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil and 3-4 tbsp. l. Place water in a saucepan with a thick bottom and stir. Bring to a boil, cook while stirring until thickened.
If desired, sprinkle with nuts, I sprinkled with cashews.
This is such a Lenten manna!

I advise you to be sure to let the semolina brew, and besides, immediately after baking it will crumble when cutting.
I liked the manna best the next day (the manna spent the night on the kitchen table in a closed container). Infused manna is incredibly tasty; it has a moist, crumbly, very “juicy” structure. The taste is rich - chocolate and very noble, and juicy cherries, piquant prunes, aromatic raisins and crispy nuts perfectly complement the taste. A cup of tea or coffee and a piece of this lean chocolate manna will make a simply wonderful combination! Delicious! I'm very pleased with the result!

I offer you an amazingly delicious Lenten pastry - chocolate manna. When I baked it and tried it, I was surprised how tasty such baked goods can be. This manna does not contain butter or eggs, and the addition of raisins and nuts makes it very attractive and aromatic. The dough is very soft and airy, which is also needed for a soulful homemade tea party.

The main thing we need to prepare lean chocolate semolina is flour, semolina, sugar, cocoa powder, sunflower oil, raisins and walnuts. You will also need water, baking powder, vanilla sugar and powdered sugar for sprinkling.

Mix sugar and semolina, add water and stir. Let the mixture stand for 1 hour so that the semolina swells.

After an hour, add sunflower oil to the mixture and mix again.

Sift flour and baking powder into the dough, stir.

Then add cocoa powder, vanilla sugar and mix again.

Pour hot water over the raisins, rinse and dry. Chop the nuts with a knife. Add nuts and raisins to the dough and mix thoroughly again.

Place the dough in a silicone mold. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

Bake the manna for 50-55 minutes. Check readiness with a wooden skewer. Cool the manna in the form.

Remove the manna to a plate and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

My manna didn’t really have time to cool down, since everyone was already waiting for it for tea.
