• It is important to remember that most of the ideas must have a frame made of durable material: this is cardboard (2-layer), a lot of newspapers, polystyrene foam, plastic, in some cases glass is used, branches woven together and other things that will hold the shape. For a basket of sweets, accordingly, a basket is purchased, which will be filled with various parts.

DIY candy crafts for children

Whether it’s a car, a charming “Smeshariki” character, a ladybug or a seven-flowered flower, most often a candy craft requires the presence of a base. Most often, its role is played by polystyrene foam or a pile of newspapers. The latter are processed using the papier-mâché technique, when they are glued in several dense layers and waited for complete drying. It is enough to cut out the desired basic shape from polystyrene foam, for which the contours are first outlined on the material. You may need to make several separate parts that will later be glued together.

For example, if you are creating a candy machine, it is recommended to first draw and cut out a dense trapezoid for the front, a larger one with sloping wide sides for the central part, and a small rectangle for the back compartment. There is no need to make wheels: they will serve as candy-coins: round ones in plain foil. The main thing is to choose the correct diameter of the sweetness. In addition to them, you can also use flat round lollipops by removing them from the sticks.

Additional elements - foil or corrugated paper with a metallic coating in a golden or silver tint, glue, oval candies with tails on the sides, a long chocolate slice 15-20 g from portioned chocolate (Alenka, Kinder), 4 round ones with a curved center and candy filling, with a diameter smaller than those on the “wheels”.

At the starting stage, foam or newspaper parts are glued together to form a full-fledged car body, but without parts - windows, wheels, etc. The windows (more precisely, glass) will be cut out of foil or corrugated paper and placed on foam plastic using glue, after which it is recommended to use thin strips of paper or foil of the same color as the future candy body of the car to make markings on the side windows, dividing them into the back and front door.

Now you need to start placing candies on the glue, and they are first prepared: the tails are bent under the candy and sealed with tape, preferably double-sided, since regular tape can begin to slide off the body treated with glue. If this is not the case, you should use a glue gun: the composition in it is more tenacious than that of ordinary PVA and the like. The last to be added are convex round candies-headlights and flat wide circles-wheels. The strip of chocolate becomes the cross piece above the back of the machine.

Candy baskets: a universal gift

A basket of sweets is the most appropriate gift in the office when you need to express your respect not from the whole department, where large gifts are often put together, but from yourself personally. Financially, this is not too expensive, but it looks presentable, solid, and pleasant to both sexes.

The simplest version: fill a wicker basket with artificial flowers made of corrugated paper, into the core of which candies in the shape of hemispheres are glued, braid the handle halfway with the same flowers, attach it to it using cardboard, and give the product as a gift. But you can use a more original scheme. For example, create an entire sailing frigate from a basket of candy. For this purpose, an elongated oval basket with low sides and without a handle is purchased, as well as foam plastic, thin bamboo skewers, adhesive material (usually adhesive tape), colored interlining (scarlet), matching ribbon, wooden sticks and candy.

Foam plastic, previously cut to the shape of its bottom, is placed in the basket. Each candy (it is better to take it in the shape of hemispheres with tails at the top) is fixed on a thin bamboo stick, secured as much as possible with tape. Its wide part looks up, and a tail is attached to the stick. All candies strung on sticks are inserted randomly into the foam.

Wide ribbons are cut from non-woven fabric, folded into 3- or 4-tiered sails, secured on bamboo skewers covered with brown fabric. The base of the “mast” is also inserted into the foam. In the end, all that remains is to complement the composition with paper or artificial flowers, or simply cover the edges of the “ship” with non-woven fabric of the same color as the sails.

3. The top part of the plastic bottle is cut off, equal to the height from the waist to the tips of the doll’s toes. Then it is advisable to eliminate the neck that is too narrow, since in most cases Barbie does not fit into this hole. The plastic body should fit around her waist, providing stability to the doll in an upright position. It is recommended to secure it to it with tape.
4. Now a circle is cut out of the satin, whose radius is equal to the height of the cut of the bottle, to which 3 cm has been added. Its edge is processed with a zigzag seam, and a cut is made in the center, with the help of which a simple circle skirt is put on the doll and lies on the bottle frame. It is advisable to glue the fabric to the plastic to prevent distortions.
5. The next step is to stick the candies onto the fabric, which is more convenient to do using a glue gun. It is not necessary to completely cover the skirt with candies: you can do something more original by cutting out several circles of different diameters from corrugated paper, combining them in pairs and inserting candies in the form of hemispheres into their centers. By slightly lifting the edges of the paper, flowers are obtained, with which the doll's skirt is decorated. The final step is to place organza around the chest, falling onto the skirt in a train and tied at the waist with a satin ribbon. The gift for the girl is ready.
