The lining is wooden. Pine lining dimensions: width, thickness

Finishing the interior and exterior of a building is an important stage in construction. It is from quality finishing materials the microclimate in the premises, the comfort of the interiors, the appearance of the building depend.

Pine lining makes the interior warm and cozy

How to choose a quality material for decoration

The lining has rightfully taken a leading position among finishing materials. As a facing material, it successfully performs a number of important functions:

  1. Decorative. The structured surface lined with clapboard looks good, and the wide size range of products allows you to create interesting compositional combinations.
  2. Technological. Under the finishing layer there is a place for communications without exposing them to public view.
  3. Protective. The cladding improves the soundproofing and heat-shielding characteristics of the building.
  4. Operational. The service life of the lining is very significant, largely depends on the material from which it is made.

Pine lining is the best material for cladding

The consumer qualities of the lining are determined by the material of manufacture:

  • plastic;
  • natural wood.

With the undoubted advantages of other materials, natural wood for interior decorationthe best option... In most cases, wood is used for decoration. conifers.

Coniferous lining

The advantages of softwood are obvious:

  1. The resin-impregnated internal wood structure does not rot.
  2. There are significantly fewer knots in it than in other breeds.
  3. Pine color is positive, giving the interior warmth and coziness. It is easy to match the rest of the interior elements to it. The golden shades of pine are wonderfully combined with bright and pastel tones, with the exception of yellow and gold, which are lost against their background.
  4. Due to the ability of pine to regulate humidity, an optimal microclimate will develop in the room.
  5. Pine lining is the cheapest and most easily processed material.
  6. The pleasant scent of resinous wood creates a cozy atmosphere.

Configuration and parameters

Lining is a thin edged board with a treated surface and fixed dimensions. A specific feature of each panel is the presence of a groove and a ridge, thanks to which the facing surface is assembled. In euro lining, in contrast to the usual one, the size of the groove-ridge connection is 1.5-2 times larger, that is, the connection is deeper.

Each panel has ventilation slots to ensure free air circulation. By the nature of the profile, the lining is divided into 3 types:

  • euro - an open crest of the joint acts as a decorative element;
  • calm provides a tight connection without gaps;
  • kolkhoz woman - the panels also fit tightly to each other, but their width is less.

The geometric parameters of the panels are taken in accordance with GOST 8242-88. Depending on the manufacturers, the width of a conventional panel is 50-150 mm; thickness 12-25 mm.

Pine lining is performed in different profiles, one of them is calm

Euro lining has strictly fixed dimensions. In accordance with European standards, its width is 80, 100, 110, 120 mm. Thickness - 13, 16, 19 mm.

When choosing a material, it is useful to pay attention to deviations of linear dimensions, which in thickness and width are not allowed more than 1 mm and 3 mm per 1 m of length. Otherwise, it will be difficult to install the panels.

Thinner panels are more suitable for interior cladding, thicker ones for external facades. As an element of decor, a wide lining is more interesting, since the texture of the material and the beauty of winding fibers are clearly visible on the lined surface. The cost of finishing is calculated for 1 sq. m. It depends on the size (width, length) of the panel, its class and type.

To decorate a room both inside and outside, wooden lining is often used. This is wonderful natural material, beautiful and eco-friendly. The lining is a smooth or embossed board of various lengths, which has a ridge on one side and a groove on the other. The tongue-and-groove connection results in a continuous coating. On the inside, each board has cuts for stress relief in the material and ventilation.

In order for such a finish to retain its appearance for a long time, you need to choose the right type of lining.

Types of wooden lining by material:

  • The lining can be made of coniferous trees: spruce, pine, larch, cedar. Pine and spruce contain resin that can appear on the surface of the product. Therefore, it is better to sheathe the outer walls of the house with such clapboard. In addition, resinous wood is better resistant to external influences and does not darken over time.
  • Hardwood lining is used for interior decoration. Alder, linden, ash and other types of wood will create a very comfortable indoor climate. Some types of wood, such as linden or aspen, are best used in a steam room or sauna, since they hardly heat up. Ash lining has a beautiful shade and a rather high density, almost like oak. They also produce lining from valuable types of wood - oak and beech. This is an expensive material, but it allows you to create a noble and representative interior. So you can arrange, for example, the walls of an office in a country house.

There are different types of lining according to the shape of the profile:

  • the standard is a lining with a flat surface. It resembles a wooden block. The surface of the wall, finished with such clapboard, looks almost smooth.
  • softline differs from the standard in rounded corners, which creates a kind of relief.
  • the lining of the landhouse, which can be translated as a village house, has longitudinal recesses and a slightly convex edge. This creates a nice drawing on the wall.
  • american imitates overlapping sheathing. So it is customary to sheathe houses in America. This lining is mounted horizontally. This type is well protected from the ingress of precipitation inside the skin, since each joint is covered with a ledge of the top board.
  • the blockhouse has a rounded profile and looks like a rounded log. Sheathing with such a wooden clapboard makes the house look like a log house.
  • recently there was such a view as "wooden wallpaper". This type of lining is used only for interior decoration. There are models "wave" and "house", panels with embossing, brushing or carving. With the help of such panels, you can decorate rooms not only in a country cottage, but also in a city apartment and give it the comfort of a wooden house.

There is a special type of lining - euro lining. It is distinguished by a deeper groove and a longer tenon. It is manufactured using improved technology using the highest quality materials. Euro lining is available in a wide variety of sizes, profiles and can be made of different types wood.

Classes of lining, depending on the quality of wood:

  • extra, or zero - this is a class of lumber, in the manufacture of which wood is used without knots, pith, cracks, tar stains, blueness and other defects.
  • wood of class A can contain no more than one knot per 1.5 m. It should also not contain a core, but blind cracks and resin pockets are allowed, no more than two per 1.5 m.
  • class B allows up to 4 knots and mechanical damage on the surface. And also one contrasting spot.
  • the most inexpensive, but the least quality class C allows the content of 2 captive knots and an unlimited number of blind cracks, resin bags and mechanical damage.

Wooden lining sizes

The Russian industry produces wall paneling in accordance with GOST 8242-88.

The thickness of the lining can be in the range of 12-25 mm, the width is no more than 150 mm, and the length varies from 600 to 6000 mm. The type of lining with a thickness of 20–25 mm is called a “collective farm woman”.

For finishing indoor spaces use panels up to 16 mm thick, and thicker for outdoor use.

Lining of natural moisture is usually produced in size 20x96x6000 mm. Dry lining most often has a thickness of 12.5 mm, a width of 96 mm and various lengths: 2100, 2400, 2500, 2700, 3000 or 6000 mm.

Euro lining is produced in various thicknesses: 19, 16 or 13 mm and widths 120, 110, 100 or 80 mm. The length can be from 50 to 6000 mm.

When calculating the quantity required material it should be borne in mind that the word width refers to the calculated width of the lining, that is, the distance from edge to edge. Its useful width is the distance from the base of the ridge to the base of the groove. You must also understand that a certain amount of material will be rejected during finishing and buy it with a margin. The amount of this "stock" depends on the class of the lining. Material of class C needs to be purchased significantly more than class Extra.

Pay attention to the moisture content of the wood from which the wooden lining is made. Insufficiently dried wood can warp and buckle over time, which will impair the appearance of the finish and may require repairs. This can be prevented by impregnating the lining with special moisture-proof compounds.

  1. Patriotic and Euro lining
  2. The cost

Wooden lining appeared almost immediately after the start of active use of freight cars. They tried to sheathe them with a thin board standard sizes... This helped to simultaneously improve the convenience of rail travel and reduce cladding costs. To date, the lining has undergone a number of changes and has become a more convenient material. Its production begins with the preparation of edged boards and drying in special chambers. Further, using the planing method, it is fitted to a seamless joint. The last step is trimming, which means cutting precisely to the required length.

Patriotic and Euro lining

The production of domestic lining is regulated by GOST, and all European products are manufactured in accordance with international standards. It should be noted that qualitative indicators higher for foreign samples... They are most easily distinguished by one characteristic feature - longitudinal grooves on back side boards, thereby providing a more efficient collection of possible condensate, which then flows down the hollows. A lining made in accordance with GOST, such an element is completely absent.

The grade of the European board is marked using the Latin letters: "A", "B" and "C".

The highest quality is possessed by products marked "A", then "B" and "C". The latter are usually used only for cladding utility rooms. If we talk about domestic products, then its grade is marked with numbers: "1", "2" and "3". The larger the number, the more defects and shortcomings can be found in such material. Recently, however, manufacturers have been paying a lot of attention to super-quality material labeled "elite", "premium" or "extra". Such lining meets the highest requirements and can be called a premium product. But even here it should be noted that often the lining of domestic production "elite" or "premium" only corresponds to the European samples of grade "A".

Dimensions of domestic and euro lining

The dimensions of the lining of the domestic sample are not regulated by GOST, due to which manufacturers sometimes themselves select the parameters of the material being produced. Today on the market you can find lining with the following dimensions: the thickness of the bar is from 12 to 40 mm, the width is from 76 to 200 mm, the size of the spikes is in the range of 4 - 5 mm. Length in meters - from 0.2 to 6. Errors are not included in the usual lining, however, such shortcomings sometimes occur.

Euro lining has more accurate parameters, and when purchasing such a facing board, you can find only a few of its types: lining thickness - 13, 16, 19 mm, width 80, 100, 110, 120 mm, length: 0.5 - 6 m. vary from 8 to 9 mm. Strict requirements are also imposed on possible errors in the dimensions of the lining of a foreign sample. They can have the following parameters: thickness - 0.7 mm, width 1 mm, length - 5 m, spike - about 0.5 mm.

The largest range is found in the length of the board. Its direct purpose depends on this parameter.

Long lining is widely used in almost all cladding works, when the shortened version is suitable only for hemming roof overhangs or for forming a small wooden box masking communications. A short board costs several times cheaper... Such material, in fact, is a waste of the main production. This is usually due to the fact that in longer bars during the facing stage, so-called dead branches can be encountered, which are necessarily cut out. "Dead" are those who do not hold well and can fall off the board. "Living" do not break the structure. According to domestic and European quality standards, the latter are allowed to be left in the products of grade "1" or "A". For this reason, the lining of short length begins its marking from the second grade. It is often completely unsuitable for serious interior work. In order to get small, high-quality boards, you need a long wooden board for sawing.

The cost

Regardless of the grade of the timber, the size of the lining will directly affect its cost. However, the final price of wood cladding also depends on the shape of the product, as well as the type of wood.... If we talk about standard bars 6 m long with grade "1" or "A", then you can roughly determine the cost of 1m 2:

  1. Regular. Such material also has the popular name "kolkhoz woman". The width of the lining is a quarter of a standard board. Products of the first grade will cost from 300 to 500 rubles. Linden and cedar are the most expensive. 1 m 2 of "collective farmers" from such wood will cost the buyer up to 1000 rubles.
  1. Calm. Working width - from 9 to 14 cm. However, this indicator does not significantly affect the price. Least of all will have to spend on linden and alder. Their cost varies from 450 to 550 rubles. The average price will be larch - 550 - 650 rubles, and the most expensive cedar - from 900 to 1200 rubles.
  1. Block house. Width - about 15 cm. The budget option is pine and alder - from 250 to 500 rubles. for 1 m 2. Standard lime and larch bars - from 1000 to 1500 rubles. Cedar - up to 2500 rubles.
  1. American. Usually it is not produced in bulk and is made only to order with a bar width from 14 to 16 cm.The price is about 1000 rubles per 1 m 2

It should be noted that the first grade or "A" is the best option for wood cladding. Top-class products usually differ in price upward by about 25%, and the cost of timber with a quality lower than the "A" standard will decrease by 20-23% with each new position. If we talk about the minimum length, then for each type you can safely throw off 50% of the cost of a six-meter board. For a three-meter beam - about 20%.
