Firms for the construction of garages in summer cottages. Frame garages

Became the owner of a piece of land? We settled the house, planted a garden, built a gazebo with a barbecue, created a pond and, with a sense of satisfaction, wallowing in a hammock among the trees lulling with rustling leaves, realized that they had not taken care of everything: your iron "horse" stands alone under the fence and overheats in the sun. So, it's time to make the last leap - to build a garage for a summer residence, because a car is almost a "family member", and you also need to worry about it.

Cottages are different, therefore, when building a garage, one should proceed from the size of the territory, the characteristics of the existing buildings and plantings, as well as their location, your financial capabilities, time and desires.

What types of garages are there?

  1. Built into the main building.
  2. Attached to the cottage.
  3. Detached (detached).

Having settled comfortably in nature, take care of your iron "horse"

When should you choose the first option? As a rule, the construction of built-in garages is planned simultaneously with the construction country house... It also happens that part of the premises of the main building is simply empty, then the owners get a logical thought: why not build a garage in the country house inside the house itself?

If one of these options suits you, then take into account, in addition to the advantages (the garage will take up a minimum of space on the site, in cold weather it will receive heat from the main building, you can get into the car directly from the house), you can also expect disadvantages (unsatisfactory waterproofing). To avoid problems with the penetration of excess moisture, you will have to build a special platform in front of the garage in order to make the angle of inclination of the entrance at the level of 20 degrees. Some summer residents (to save space) do without a site, simply sharply increasing the angle at the entrance.

It looks like a built-in garage

It is recommended to attach a garage in the country house with your own hands to the main building if the house is close to the gate, when the site is tiny and you want to plant it with greenery, and not fill it with concrete. This "car stable" has a common wall with the dacha, as well as interconnected communications for water, electricity and heating supply.

And this is an attached version of the "car stable"

A detached garage is the most common option for summer cottages, which is erected separately from other buildings and as close as possible to the road, sometimes the entrance is made directly from the street. Due to the popularity of this species, it is proposed to consider it in detail.

However, the most popular option for a garage in the country is a free-standing building.

How to choose a place for the construction of a detached garage

How does the construction of a garage in the country begin? Regardless of what the budget is allocated and the project is chosen, you need to find the best place for the garage on the site. What should we start from? If the piece of land is tiny, then make the entrance as close to the gate as possible, or even from the road.

Are there any requirements for the choice of a construction site regarding fire safety and sanitary standards? Definitely yes. When choosing a site for building a garage, adhere to the following rules:

  • the distance between neighboring windows and the entrance to the garage must be at least 10 meters, otherwise you will inconvenience the surrounding summer residents;
  • to avoid a fire at home, if a fire occurs in the garage, a distance of 9 meters should be maintained between them;
  • if buildings finished with polymeric materials are located nearby, then the distance between them and the garage should be at least 15 meters.

When building, adhere to safety standards and take care not to disturb the peace of your neighbors

Garage design

To choose a design now is not a problem, since the network is replete with variations of a photo of a garage in the country, and, in the end, beauty is not the most important criterion for this type of structure, first of all, the building must be functional and reliable. How to create a smart garage project?

First, decide on the size. To do this, you need to take into account both the dimensions of the machine itself and the free area in the country.

Secondly, think carefully about why you need the planned building. For parking only? Or do you still want to make a car workshop in it? Then you will need a viewing hole, as well as additional space for placing tools and free movement. Some summer residents also make a food cellar under the garage. Answer yourself to these questions and only then start drawing the project.

True car enthusiasts will never leave their four-wheeled "pet" to spend the night on the street

Let's say you only need a garage for parking a car of standard dimensions, which should be minimum dimensions garage? Experts advise building a storage space for a car that is at least 3 meters wide and about 5.5 meters long. In terms of height, proceed from the growth of family members, some summer residents make the same height as in the house, then you definitely won't be mistaken.

Start building a garage with a project

Preparatory work

When the project is ready, it's time to move on to making a list necessary materials.

First, decide what you will be building your garage from. Of course, stone materials (cinder blocks, bricks, foam concrete blocks, gas silicate blocks) have proven themselves the most reliable. However, it is not at all necessary to build from such expensive materials, sometimes summer residents use what is on the farm, for example, metal, wood, or buy less expensive materials, for example, a profiled sheet. First of all, consider your financial capabilities.

When the materials are purchased, you can proceed to the marking of the territory. For this, the scheme shown in the project is simply transferred to the land allocated for construction. In the professional language of builders, this stage is called "location binding". How is it going? Pegs or pieces of reinforcement are driven into the corners of the future garage. Make sure that the marking corners are not curved, for this you need a square. Pull the cord between the pegs. For this block of work, about 10 pegs and about 40 meters of twine will be required.

Step number 1 - marking the territory

Excavation and foundation

Construction begins with the construction of the foundation. The most suitable option is tape. To do this, you need to dig a trench about 40 cm wide. But the depth can vary, since it depends on the level of soil freezing in your area. Sometimes 60 cm is enough, and sometimes you have to dig a ditch twice as deep.

Make sure the bottom of the trench is not loose. This happens if you build on the site of the embankment. Then you have to dig to a layer with a normal density. The walls of the ditch must be leveled with a shovel so that they are vertical.

Then you can fill in the foundation. Experienced summer residents recommend staying on the concrete version, which is both reliable and will reduce costs. The process consists of laying rubble stone in a trench and pouring cement mortar (sand should be 2.5 times more than cement). Do not forget to spill every masonry with mortar, otherwise the foundation will not be strong enough.

Quality foundation - the guarantee of the strength of any structure

Erection of walls and roof

As already mentioned, stone, wood or metal are suitable for building a garage. However, remember that the wood must be carefully treated with an antiseptic, and the metal with an anti-corrosion mixture. But the most reliable material - brick. The walls are being built using traditional technology. The thicker the wall, the stronger the building. However, sometimes half a brick is thick enough, especially if you do not plan to winter in the country.

Roof construction is also no different from standards. The installation of the rafters is followed by the laying of the roof. The only thing is, do not flatten the roof to avoid moisture penetration. A slight slope will extend the life of the structure. Do not forget about high-quality waterproofing of the roof (tiles, roofing felt or slate).

If your family is in the country in the winter, then you better build a major garage

Floor arrangement and door installation

The machine is a heavy device, therefore the most optimal material for building a floor is concrete. What is the order of work for this stage?

  • leveling the ground;
  • covering the soil with a layer of sand or fine gravel (about 10 cm);
  • rammer;
  • fill concrete mortar (1 part of cement, 2 - sand and 3 - crushed stone).

Pay attention! If increased waterproofing of the floor is required, then place roofing material between the layers of concrete (preferably in 2 layers). To do this, make the first fill 10 cm, let the mixture harden (about a week), and then fill the surface layer.

If your budget allows, you can buy a special flooring favorite color

As for the gate, everything is simple, because you can purchase ready-made and just install them. However, do not forget that the fasteners must be in the masonry, that is, you need to worry about them even at the stage of building the walls. The gate definitely needs to be painted.

The garage is ready, only finishing work and arrangement of the premises inside.

Building a garage for a summer residence is troublesome, but useful, because then your iron "horse" will live longer.

For owners of personal vehicles, you need to build garage in the country... This building can be used as a storage room and workshop.

The owner chooses the option of arranging the garage space depending on his needs.

Garage to the country: requirements

Construction inexpensive garage for a summer residence you should start with obtaining official permission. The issuance of this document is governed by Urban Planning Code (Art.51)... When a structure is built on a plot of land that belongs to an individual, on a plot that is not related to entrepreneurial activity, the permit not required... This document is required if you want to build a capital garage with a foundation.

Requirements for building a garage at a summer cottage depend on its basic functionality, project cost and structural reliability.

Before you build garage in the country you need to deal with all the nuances of construction.

  1. The reliability of the structure. If you are going to live in the country all year round, then it is necessary capital building... When the owner of the site arrives only in the warm season, the best option is a building inexpensive garage in the country from corrugated board.
  2. Cost. Steel structure with a small foundation and delivery costs 1000 dollars... The construction of a major garage will take longer. Its cost is much more expensive, it is influenced by various factors such as the choice building materials and their delivery. The site owner can build himself or hire a team of workers.
  3. Interior arrangement. If the premises will not be used as a workshop, then communications are not required. For gardening tools it is enough to do. Not needed, which requires high quality waterproofing.

IMPORTANT! When the summer cottage is intended for summer recreation and growing flowers, fruits and vegetables, then it is considered optimal budget solution: the construction of a garage for a summer residence will take a minimum of money.

What garages look like in the country - photo below:

As you can see in the photo, garage for a summer residence it's not difficult to do. You need a little imagination and improvised means.

The owner of the land can give preference to any option arrangement of a country garage:

  • separately built;
  • built-in;
  • garage extension.

For a structure built separately, it takes a lot of space. In this case, it is best to build it near the fence, so as not to make an additional access road. If this is not possible, then the garage is placed near the outbuildings.

Among advantages it should be noted that no exhaust gases enter the living quarters and no engine noise can be heard. Minus - inexpediency of laying heating system due to high heat losses.

Garage, built in in the basement of the house, is compact and convenient. The host essentially saves on building materials: no need to erect walls or build a ceiling. Additional heating of the garage is not required. When arranging, you may encounter two problems:

  • performance of high-quality waterproofing;
  • additional installation of a separate ventilation system.

Practical garage extension have their own dignity:

Better to attach a garage from the north side, which will maximize the distance from living quarters. The floor is made of concrete, and above ground level it rises by 10-30 cm.

The simplest garage in the country is canopy... It protects the car from prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation and precipitation. To do it, it will take less money than building a building. In hardware stores, ready-made portable structures are sold, resembling tent.

Scrap materials and start of construction

Frame wooden structure, used cinder block or brick allows reduce the cost of building a garage from scrap materials. When using used building materials, an additional external and interior decoration... Single-pitched from profiled sheets - an economical option for arranging the roof.

Inexpensive garage for the country can be built from timberthat doesn't need fitting or drying. The material is treated with fire-retardant impregnations. The bars have excellent thermal insulation properties.

Modern material - polycarbonate ideal for building an open garage in the country. A master can easily make a canopy with his own hands. The prefabricated structure is made using an electric drill and a screwdriver. And for the manufacture of a welded canopy, a welding machine is required.

Frame tent garage at the summer cottage is distinguished by the following undeniable advantages:

  • mobility;
  • low cost;
  • easy installation;
  • attractive design.

The structure is quickly mounted and dismantled.

For assembly metal garage from a ready-made factory kit, you will need the help of a welder. Prefabricated garages for summer cottages must be additionally insulated in order to use them in winter.

The construction of a garage in the country begins with project development... After that, you need to make a breakdown on the site. It is necessary to note the corners of the future structure and you can start earthworks.

ATTENTION! The depth of the dug trench is influenced by the degree of soil freezing.

After you have decided from what to build a garage in the country, you need to think about foundation.

Rubble concrete is the best option to reduce cement costs. To prepare the solution, you need sand and water.

Garage for giving today you can build or buy ready-made. The owner himself decides which option suits him best. It is not necessary to make it chic if the family comes to the dacha only for the weekend.

Country garage is a very convenient and multifunctional building... It, in addition to its main purpose - a shelter for a car, is used as a workshop or storage. Therefore, summer residents often ask themselves the question: how to build a convenient, safe and economical garage at the same time in the country with their own hands?

For example, a wooden garage does not meet fire safety standards. In addition, making wood durable is a rather complicated and expensive process. And high-quality wood is not a cheap material.

IN metal garage there are no optimal conditions for vehicles. In such garages, due to the winter cold and autumn dampness, condensation will necessarily form, which will cause corrosion of the car body. Therefore, brick is the optimal material for building a garage in the country.

The equipment of a brick garage should include lighting, ventilation, racks on which all kinds of tools and parts will be stored, preferably a water supply system. And, of course, you cannot do without an integral attribute of any garage - a viewing hole. The microclimate is important for the garage. It must be sufficiently dry at an air temperature of 5-15 ° C and relative humidity 50-70%.

Laying the foundation

Garage foundation

After determining a suitable location for the future garage, you need to carefully prepare the construction site. First, you need to remove a layer of soil up to 20 cm deep and make the markings in compliance with right angles. Then, focusing on this markup, you should dig a foundation pit for laying the foundation. The depth of the pit depends on the soil. For example, if the site is dry sandy soil, then the depth of the pit should be about sixty centimeters, and in clay soil - from 80 cm to one meter.

The best option is strip foundation, which will give the structure the necessary rigidity and strength. Slabs 150 mm thick are laid in the pit. To lay the basement, a formwork of boards is constructed from above, into which reinforcing bars are inserted, after which the entire structure is poured with concrete.

Floor device

After the foundation has been erected, after about 2-3 weeks, you can proceed to the next stage of construction - flooring. The construction site is covered with a layer of sand (15 cm), on which roofing material or roofing felt is applied. The optimum floor thickness for this type of structure is 20 cm. Here you need to take into account that the slope should be directed towards the exit. To give the floor an even slope in the desired direction, it is necessary to lay the boards at the appropriate angle, which will serve as a guide.

Walls

Walls should be made of silicate or red bricks. The next stage construction works should be the installation of brick or concrete pillars in the middle of the walls and in the corners of the building. Such pillars will give strength to the building. And they are also convenient in that shelving can be installed between them. Only after their installation, the openings are laid with brickwork.

Roof

The roof can be made shed and flat with a slope of 15 °. Roof construction begins with rafters supported by brick or concrete pillars. Then a solid board crate is attached to the rafters. The roof, which is also waterproofing, is made of three layers of roofing material, which is watered with hot bitumen and covered with ordinary sand.

Garage Doors

The garage door can be:

  • swing;
  • sectional;
  • roll;
  • lifting and turning.

It's a matter of taste. But given the climatic conditions and the lack of free space in an average cottage, sectional doors are the most acceptable option. They consist of individual modules and rise along special rails to the ceiling without taking up valuable space. This type of gate does not have the typical drawbacks of swing or lift-and-turn models.

Arrangement

Basically, one of the most important purposes of a garage is to keep the car body in good condition. Therefore, it is necessary to create the most favorable conditions for its storage and maintenance. For wall insulation, you can use mineral wool or polyurethane foam.

The simplest base option is an ordinary concrete floor, which is reliable and unpretentious. But you can also use special building polymers, which also have high performance characteristics. True, this option will cost a little more. An observation pit and a basement are installed in the floor. The edges of the inspection pit must be covered with a metal corner.

A garage is simply unthinkable without high-quality ventilation. It is provided by an asbestos-cement exhaust pipe with a diameter of 150 mm, equipped with a hood. The bottom end of this pipe should be closer to the floor.

As a rule, the process of landscaping a summer house or suburban areaLike the renovation of an apartment, one can only start, it is difficult to get out of this process after thirty righteous labors. With the construction of the summer cottage, the question arises of how and where to store your transport so that rains and birds do not spoil the expensive polish, and the car is under guard. The best option there will be an arrangement of a garage in the country, especially since, if desired, such a building can easily be erected with your own hands at minimal cost.

Garage design options

In fairness, it should be noted that there are a great many opportunities to build a garage in the country today, it all depends on the desire and financial resources. Therefore, we will consider only those schemes that do not require fabulous investments and are able to implement with our own hands.

When designing and choosing a possible garage device, you should immediately make a reservation that the building for storing a car cannot be located on the territory of the dacha, as it pleases, without any adaptation on the ground. The location and the method of construction are inextricably linked, most often the following points are taken into account:

  • Entering the garage to the summer cottage through the main gate does not require complex maneuvers around the territory, while the building is located in the immediate vicinity of the cottage;
  • The car can be driven out of the garage, but this does not interfere with the movement of transport and recreation of residents on the territory of the dacha;
  • The "zero" territory of the site is used for the garage, unsuitable for useful applications in the interests of the owners.

Important! The most common design of a garage is a separate room, isolated from the house, with its own entrance and exit, a stove, a fuel and lubricants warehouse, a workshop and a parking area adjacent to the building.

Projects of garage buildings in the country

A garage on the territory of a summer house appears, as a rule, in two main versions. In the first case, with the purchase of a suburban summer cottage, a new cottage building is laid and built, in which the garage is located either on the basement floor or in the basement.

If the size of the summer cottage allows, the garage in the country is photographed in the form of a wing of the main building.

In the second case, a plot is purchased with a finished house, which is being repaired or rebuilt for a long time, as far as possible. The garage appears much later, so most often the construction is carried out in the form of a free-standing structure on an unoccupied area. Most country garages are built according to the following schemes:

  1. Classic brick or cinder block version with pitched roof, a viewing pit and a basement. The building requires a deep pit for the basement, so the garage is always built at a distance from the main building of the cottage;
  2. An extension to the dacha, not associated with a summer cottage foundation, it can be an insulated canopy, a closed canopy made of wood or panels, but most often it is a lightweight structure made of foam concrete or aerated blocks;
  3. The frame version of the garage, the most popular among the existing schemes. In fact, with the advent of new technologies and methods of construction, frame construction is only gaining popularity today among individual developers.

Advice! If you plan to build a garage yourself, experts recommend building from the same materials and in the same way that were used in the construction of the main building of the summer cottage in order to avoid numerous mistakes with linking the structure to the characteristics of the soil.

Is the garage suitable for giving in the form of a capital building

Building a brick garage makes 100% sense if you own a winter type of summer cottage in a harsh frosty climate or live in a summer cottage all year round, using it as a permanent residence. In this case, a deep basement and capital heavy walls will help preserve the foundation and structure of the garage building, even with strong freezing of the soil.

In addition, a brick or cinder block allows more extensive use of the garage space for installation additional equipment racks, storage places supplies, and there will be a place for storing crops and food supplies. In this case, the roof can be made in the classic single-slope or three-slope version.

If you abandon the observation pit and basement, the garage from the cinder block can be brought out in the form of a garage extension to the summer cottage building. In this case, an additional passage or connecting vestibule can be made between the cottage building and the garage room.

Prefabricated garage structures

Most often, a garage for a summer residence is used as a place for temporary storage and maintenance of a car, therefore, in 90% of the building is made in the form of a wooden or steel frame, sheathed with clapboard or corrugated board.

In the most budgetary version, the garage can be reduced to a size slightly larger than the car's own dimensions. With the external nondescriptness and simplicity, this type of garage room has many advantages. For its construction, a foundation is not needed, it occupies a minimum of territory, it can be installed on any suitable site, and most importantly, for the winter it can be dismantled and removed from the summer cottage.

Among the frame and prefabricated structures of the garage, the second places are the buildings made of timber and boards. Most often, the choice in favor of this option is due to the simplicity of the design and the availability for DIY manufacturing. A special foundation for a wooden garage is not required, a shallow tape is enough. A significant advantage wooden structures is the fact that, unlike steel buildings, wood heats up very little in the hot sun, therefore, the vehicle suffers less from overheating.

The weak point of wooden garage structures is the high fire hazard of the material. Even after processing with fire retardants, wood can be considered conditionally resistant to fire. For a summer cottage or garage building, sheathed with wood, in the summertime, observance of the rules for working with an open fire and regular treatment with protective paints are required. Nevertheless, the beauty and aesthetics of the look of the wooden construction of the cottage is recognized by all developers.

DIY garage in the country from foam blocks

In addition to expensive red brick and sawn timber, cheap cinder block and corrugated board, experts recognize a relatively new type of building material - foam block - as material No. 1 for garage construction. The material is lightweight and at the same time resistant to weather surprises. Foamed concrete has long been successfully used to build one and two-story residential buildings and summer cottages. According to the purpose, the foam block is divided into structural and lining.

The foam block can be remarkably used as a material for adding a garage room to a summer house. At the same time, the weight of a wall made of foam concrete only slightly exceeds the weight of a bar or a rounded log, so, as a rule, problems with foundations do not arise. Light weight and large volume wall block allows you to glue a garage box in a matter of days. If you use a facing type of foam block for laying garage walls, you can do without insulation. For storage of vehicles on the territory of the summer cottage, you can choose a garage in a cold version. Even in winter, the indoor temperature will be 5-7 ° C higher than the environment.

The weak point of any building made of foam block is the low specific strength and rigidity of the masonry. Therefore, the walls of the foam block have to be reinforced with rolled metal bars. The roof and roof structure in this case is performed according to a simplified single-slope scheme.

If you need a full-fledged building made of foam block, you can use the frame option shown in the photo to unload the garage walls. Heavy construction gable roof installed on vertical posts - supports fixed on slab foundation... The welded system of rafters and supporting supports for the roof covering together with the ceiling beams form a very strong and rigid frame.

To lay heavy roofs on non-rigid walls, an additional reinforcing belt is usually made from a foam block, pulling the walls in the upper part. In the case shown in the photo, the functions of the belt are performed by the steel structures of the roof. To complete the construction, it is enough to overlay the frame with masonry from a white facing foam block and sew wooden lathing boards on steel rafters. After styling roofing material and the wall decoration of the garage will look no worse than the main building of the cottage.

Many people who have a summer cottage believe that a garage in the country is more a luxury than a necessity. Indeed, if a person visits his dacha only in the summer, he does not have to spend money on the construction of a structure that will be empty for 250-300 days a year. The construction of a garage in the country is necessary only if a person plans to visit his summer cottage at any time of the year or simply live in a country house permanently.

The option of a garage in the country must be chosen depending on the amount of space on the site.

It should be noted that building a house for your beloved car is a procedure that must be treated very responsibly. First, a car is extremely flammable and must be very carefully protected from fire. Therefore, the garage must be built from non-combustible materials. Secondly, when the engine of the machine is running, a significant amount of carbon monoxide is released, which, even in relatively small concentrations, can suffocate a person. Therefore, when building a garage, you should create good ventilation. Thirdly, any car is made of metal, and metal tends to rust, and therefore it will be necessary to make good waterproofing in the garage.

The main types and types of garage buildings

From an architectural point of view, garages are of 3 types:

  1. Classic.
  2. Built-in.
  3. Attached.

Classic garages were extremely common during the Soviet era. These are buildings located separately from the residential building. They have both advantages and disadvantages. For example, when a fire breaks out in a detached garage, the flame rarely spreads to the house. In addition, in such a room you can retire from the intrusive attention of family members. Among the disadvantages of this type of buildings is the need to leave the house in cold weather in order to sit in an iron "horse", as well as problems with fitting a detached building into the landscape of a summer cottage.

Structurally, classic garages are divided into 4 types:

  1. Capital.
  2. Collapsible.
  3. "Shells".
  4. Underground.

Capital and underground classic garage buildings are usually built of brick and reinforced concrete. Collapsible and "shells" - from various grades of low-carbon steel and aluminum alloys.

Built-in garages can be located directly in the house. Most often, such garages are located in a basement or semi-basement room. Less often - in a specially equipped room on the 1st or 2nd floor. The main advantage of such garages is that there is no need to leave the house in bad weather to get into the car. In addition, they do not spoil the landscape of the summer cottage at all. However, they have many disadvantages, ranging from the high cost of designing and building a non-standard house and ending with the appearance of unpleasant odors of technical liquids in residential premises.

Attached garages are a consensus between classic and built-in views. Such extensions are most common in traditionally practical English-speaking countries. On the one hand, you do not need to go outside to access the car, and on the other hand, the outer wall of the house is located between the living quarters and the garage, which significantly increases fire safety and has a positive effect on preventing the spread of unpleasant odors.

Materials and tools for the construction of a wooden extension garage

In order to build a garage in the country with your own hands, you need to choose the right type and type of structure. For a person who has no practical experience as a bricklayer or welder, the easiest way is to build an extension garage with timber frame, without a cellar and a viewing hole. A simplified diagram of the frame of such a structure is shown in Figure 1.

Picture 1. Scheme of the garage extension.

Distances and dimensions structural elements in this diagram the following (in meters):

  • between the wall and the columns - 2.2;
  • between the columns - 1.5;
  • between the rafters - 0.5;
  • the height of the columns (above the ground) - 2;
  • the depth to which the columns are dug into the ground - 0.4;
  • the length of the cross beams - 2.5;
  • rafter length - 6;
  • the length of the longitudinal beams - 6.

To build an extension, the following tools are required:

  • an electric saw or chainsaw for cutting wood;
  • electric screwdriver;
  • hammer drill;
  • furniture stapler;
  • a hammer;
  • wheelbarrow;
  • buckets;
  • ham;
  • bayonet and shovels.

List of consumables for the construction of the frame:

  • timber (10x10 cm) - 12 meters;
  • edged board (10x5 cm) - 30.5 meters;
  • rafter slats (5x5 cm) - 24 meters;
  • slate - 18 m²;
  • any waterproofing material - 29 m²;
  • self-tapping screws (10 cm) - 180 pieces;
  • spacer bolts - 60 pieces;
  • nails (10 cm) - 2 kg;
  • rubber (5 mm) - 2 m²;
  • chain-link mesh - 13.2 m²;
  • aluminum or steel sheets (1 mm) - 16.62 m²;
  • gates with hinges or roller shutters;
  • gravel - 2.64 m³;
  • concrete - 1.16 m³.

Since screws and nails can bend and break during operation, they should be purchased with some margin.

Preparatory work

Before starting work, it is necessary to prepare wooden structures. In particular, cut grooves for cross beams in columns, grooves for rafters in cross beams, and grooves for cross beams in a supporting longitudinal beam (attached to the wall).

All grooves should be located at the junction of structural elements, exactly opposite each other, and have a width and depth of 5 cm.

In addition, the wood must be treated with a product that protects it from fire and decay.

After the preparation of the wooden structures, it is necessary to proceed with the earthwork:

  1. First, level the area under the garage floor by removing a 20 cm layer of soil.
  2. Then lay the selected waterproofing material on the garage floor.
  3. After that, fill the site with gravel, tamp it and throw the mesh-netting on top, having previously straightened it.
  4. Further, on top of the gravel and the chain-link, it is necessary to make a concrete screed 5 cm thick. The mesh-chain-link will reinforce the concrete and prevent it from crumbling due to temperature changes and dynamic loads.
  5. After two days, when the concrete hardens, the lower parts of the columns should be wrapped waterproofing material, install the columns in the holes prepared for them, align and pour the base of the columns with concrete.

So that the columns do not squirm while the concrete hardens, after leveling, they can be connected together with a longitudinal beam using self-tapping screws.

Main works

Two days after installing the columns, you can start assembling the wooden frame:

  1. The first step is to drill holes in the longitudinal beam, which is attached to the outer wall of the house, every 10 cm.
  2. Then it must be raised to a height of 2.3 meters and used as a template in order to drill holes in the wall.
  3. After that, the beam must be attached to the wall with expansion bolts.
  4. After finishing work with the longitudinal support beam, the transverse beams must be attached to it (from above) and the columns using self-tapping screws.

  4. After that, drill holes in each sheet (in the upper part of the waves) and nail the slate to the rafters with nails.

It should be noted that first you need to fix the slate sheets located below. In addition, there must be a rubber gasket between the slate and the nail.
