Planting carrots glued on toilet paper. Preparing the soil for planting. How to plant carrots on a tape.

This option for planting carrots is much more convenient than sowing it manually. Homemade toilet paper-based seeding tape, or its store version, can significantly facilitate the further on the beds. This planting option almost eliminates the boring procedure of thinning carrots, or, if you still need to thin out the carrots, then it takes much less time, because it does not grow as often as when sown by hand.

Carrots on toilet paper. Basic landing rules

What else is so easy to use? Quite often in the spring, when we plant carrots, there may be showers. If you have sown in a simple way, it is quite possible that the downpour will simply wash them out of the garden and you will have to resell them again. If you plant carrot seeds on a tape, or on toilet paper, then they will most likely stay in the soil after a heavy rainfall and you will not have to sow them a second time. For any type of sowing of any vegetables, there are certain rules, the observance of which will help to achieve good seed germination. Such rules, of course, exist when sowing carrots using tape or, alternatively, on toilet paper.

Preparing the soil

The soil must always be prepared so that you do not plant. When sowing, such preparation is also absolutely necessary. Usually they do this 2 weeks before planting. But the method - “I came to the dacha, took a shovel, dug up the site, leveled it with a rake, and planted it”, is not suitable here. It is better to do this in advance, that is, at least a week before landing, and even better in general for the 2nd. You will need to loosen up somewhere, about 10 centimeters deep. When you do this, immediately level the soil with a rake. Here we are talking about the land that you dug up with a bayonet in the fall. It doesn't have to be virgin.

We plant carrots on a tape

When you go out to the site already with the intention of planting carrots, then you will need to "refresh" the garden bed, that is, loosen it again. After that, we are already preparing the grooves for planting directly. They should not be deep, because carrots have very small ones. 2 centimeters deep is more than enough. In these grooves, it will already be possible to lay a tape with seeds, which after laying is watered and only then sprinkled with earth. From above, this soil will need to be well leveled and then watered again, but here it must be done carefully so that the thin layer of soil from this sowing belt is not washed off.

Germination can be increased in a simple way. For this, ready-made compost is taken, and stacked with a thickness of about half a centimeter.

How to glue seeds on toilet paper yourself?

Shop tape with carrot seeds, of course, is a convenient thing, but it can be replaced with a home version of such a tape. It is made quite simply from paper, which is rather loose in its texture. Toilet paper is perfect for this. You can also take newsprint paper, but the ink on it obviously won't add to your carrots. useful properties... So let's get some toilet paper anyway. Of course, its width is too large, so you will need to cut it neatly and make strips of it about 2 cm wide. You will need to cut it lengthwise, so the tape can be made very long.

When you prepare the strips, you can already make such a "carrot" sowing tape from them. In order for the seeds to stay on this tape and not fall off when planting, they will need to be glued there. To do this, you will need to prepare, because super glue is clearly not suitable for this (just kidding!). Such a paste is usually brewed from ordinary starch, or from flour. When you prepare the paste, just drip it onto the strip and rub it a little. In this case, you do not need to glue the seeds close. We maintain a step here of about 2.5 centimeters.

If you do not know how you can make a paste, then here is the simplest recipe for it. You only need a tablespoon or the same amount of flour (there is not much difference), which you will need to dissolve in a glass of water.

You can fix the seeds on toilet paper in a different way. To do this, you need two-layer paper. We just gently peel it and carefully put the seeds in the gap between the two layers.

The third option with toilet paper is not to cut it at all, but simply fold the strip in half lengthwise. We also carefully glue the seeds there and slowly unwind this roll. So, you do not have to cut the roll and prepare such a sowing strip faster.

When you prepare the tape, you can fertilize it immediately. This is done at the stage of preparation of the paste, when any mineral fertilizer is added to the water that we need for its preparation. Here the calculation is per liter of water. For this amount of water, you need the same tablespoon.

You can make such toilet paper-based seed strips in winter when you have free time. So by the spring, when you will have to deal with your site closely, you will have everything ready.

Carrot seeds on a napkin

A good alternative to toilet paper is regular napkins. Everything is done here in the same way as with toilet paper. But napkins are wider than paper, so you can make more than one strip of seeds on a napkin, but several at once. Here you simply stick it in the way you see the roots in your garden. It is best to stick the seeds about 5 centimeters in size. You should have this distance between the rows. Next, you also put such a napkin with seeds on the garden bed and sprinkle it with earth. So the garden bed you will get is already fully formed, and you will not have to thin it out either.

Which carrot seeds to choose?

It is best to stick high-quality seeds, good grade... The germination of such seeds is quite good. And if they grow well, then most likely they will develop just as well. By fixing them in such a simple way on toilet paper, or on other similar "carriers", you will not let them disappear, for example, because of the same downpour.

Today you can buy a change also dredged. It will be easier to glue them, but you will have to water them more, because they resemble dragees, that is, a pea. The change of carrots themselves are hidden, as it were, inside this very dragee of fertilizers and other useful filler. Here, increased watering is simply necessary, because it necessarily takes a certain time for such seeds to swell and in order for moisture to penetrate directly to the seed inside this dragee. But, there is also a big plus for these carrot seeds - each of them already has its own supply for feeding a young sprout, which means that it will be practically guaranteed to grow.

findings

Carrot seeds are not the only ones that can be sown on toilet paper or other similar media. All this is quite applicable to other vegetables, as well as greens, in which the seeds are small enough. It can be the same, for example, celery or different varieties. It is very convenient to sow seeds on the belt. So in the summer you will not have to "crawl" through your beds and thin them out. So it's best to do this even in winter, while your free time allows you to make such seeding bands, which, as you can see, can be done not only using toilet paper for this, but also in some other ways.

And here is very good video on the same topic. Here you will be shown how you can make a paste, how to apply it to toilet paper, and how to glue seeds to this paper. We look.

Whoever is the author of the saying “Carrots are sweet, but in the neighboring garden”, it is immediately clear that he burned himself on this culture.

Yes, this lady loves accuracy in everything. We made a mistake during planting, we got it a little confused with the timing, we hurried a little with the cleaning - and hello to your parents, in the sense - share your carrot, otherwise you don't have your own.

My husband and I bought a plot in 1991 and immediately started gardening, although we had no experience at all. They began to grow carrots as well. At first I sowed it with the most simple method - a pinch into the holes. Then she began to mix the seeds with river sand, then with jelly, but the results were the same: I had to thin out twice, which was very tiring, and the yields were average.

The advice was helped by my husband (unfortunately, he passed away a year and a half ago), who then worked as a fitter for gas equipment for boiler rooms.

So, in these boiler rooms, the operators were mainly women, and since they had free time during the shift, they devoted it to sticking carrot seeds on paper ribbons before the summer holiday.

My husband adopted this method from them. Now I do it myself, especially since in the off-season I also have enough free time. In general, I cut strips of toilet paper, the length of which depends on the width of the bed.

I cook glue from starch.

I spread the ribbons on the table, put glue on them with a toothpick or the tip of a small brush and spread the seeds every 3-4 cm.Then I hang the strips to dry on an ironing board and roll them up, each variety separately. And the carrot is waiting in the wings.

And before planting, I make grooves on the beds, water them with water, sprinkle with ashes, put these strips with seeds down in them, cover them with humus, water them again and cover the beds with non-woven material until shoots appear (I do subsequent periodic watering right on top of it).

And the carrots grow very large. In the fall, I dig it up, cut off the tails and tops, wash it, dry it and put it in sugar bags, which I keep in the cellar. Until spring, the carrots lie as freshly dug up (pictured).

And I also plant onions around the perimeter of the carrot garden. It grows very large, and scares off the carrot fly. After harvesting vegetables, I immediately sow white mustard, so my land is very soft, there are no weeds at all. I sow carrots in the garden where the onion grew, and the onion after it.

Carrot seeds on a tape - professional reviews

Sowing and caring for carrots is not an easy task for gardeners. But some tricks will make it easier to grow carrots. In particular, the belt sowing method can be used. This significantly eases labor costs and increases productivity.

Why are ribbon seeds so good?

They are fully prepared for sowing. The seeds are located at a distance of 3-3.5 cm from each other. They do not need to be thinned out, so the roots of neighboring plants are not injured and the roots grow beautiful and even. It will be convenient for young seedlings to develop. They will not reclaim space for themselves to live under the sun.

Crops are thin, well ventilated. And the carrot fly doesn't like that. She will not be attracted by the smell of tops, which is strongly manifested at the time of thinning.

Easy to use. They make grooves in the ground, water abundantly, lay a tape with seeds and fall asleep. It is only necessary to regularly moisten the crops, not allowing the seeds in the belt to dry out before sprouting.

The seeds are evenly buried in the ground, do not wash out even during heavy rainfall, which means they sprout at the same time. The optimum planting depth is from 1.5 to 2 cm. Further care of the crops consists in careful weeding, timely watering and shallow loosening of the soil.

At the moment, there are seeds on the market on belts produced using different technologies. The tapes are made mainly of toilet paper using adhesives or starch and have a huge disadvantage. This material - a nutrient medium for pathogenic microorganisms that cause the death of crops.

The most advanced technology is 100% cellulose belt. The seeds are placed between two layers of material, mechanically connected without the use of glue. The tape is non-toxic and degrades well in a humid environment.

Damage to environment excluded.

Using seeds on a belt makes growing carrots a convenient and simple experience.

Obviously, seeds on tape are the smartest solution!

  • Many gardeners are looking forward to the arrival of spring with great impatience to open the summer season and start planting vegetables. Since the fall, they begin to prepare the site, in winter they buy seeds, prepare seedlings in order to plant everything in the ground in the spring, and in the fall to collect a rich harvest and enjoy natural vegetables all winter. How to plant carrots on toilet paper, what does planting and caring for them require? - these are the main questions asked by summer residents.

    Before planting carrots in open ground it is better to germinate the seeds at home. As a rule, carrot seeds are planted on toilet paper. This is a proven method that has grown in popularity over the years. This germination method can be used for all types of seeds. Every amateur gardener has tried this method at least once and appreciated its main advantages. Of course, in gardening shops you can buy ready-made seeds on a special tape, but this pleasure is much more expensive than an ordinary bag of seeds. That is why, in order to reduce costs, you can prepare such a tape yourself.

    There are many ways to plant seeds. You can place seeds for germination in an ordinary box with soil or in a saucer, and even on a damp cloth. But planting seeds on toilet paper is especially popular among summer residents. It is much more convenient to germinate seeds on toilet paper.

    Carrots on toilet paper - the main advantages of this method

    • Saving space. You can plant seeds from many bags and you do not need to allocate a lot of space for this.
    • Preservation of moisture. It is not necessary to carry out constant control over the moisture content of the seeds.
    • Visibility of the result. You can easily verify the quality of seed germination and calmly transfer the seedlings to the ground.
    • Comfortable cooking conditions.
    • The seeds are evenly distributed over the entire surface.
    • All seeds will be at the same depth.
    • Shoots will be simultaneous.
    • When sowing, no weather conditions are terrible.
    • An economical method of sowing, because everything is done by hand.
    • No maintenance is required in the first weeks. There is no need to water, weed, and even a carrot fly cannot lay its larvae.

    All these advantages prove that glued seeds on toilet paper are the best way to plant carrots, and on top of that, they do not cause any harm to humans.

    How carrot seeds germinate on toilet paper

    It is very easy to germinate carrot seeds on toilet paper. All this is done independently with your own hands.

    Before planting carrots on toilet paper, you will need the following materials:

    • toilet paper (preferably three-layer);
    • dense polyethylene;
    • sprayer;
    • special glue;
    • small capacity.

    First, the polyethylene is cut into strips with a width of 7-8 centimeters. The length is determined by you, depending on the amount of the planted product. For convenience, at the beginning of each strip, you can write a vegetable variety so as not to get confused in the future. Toilet paper is stacked on top of plastic strips. Now, before planting carrots on toilet paper, use a sprayer to moisten the paper well.

    To improve germination, you can add any mineral preparations for growth to the sprayer with water. The carrot kernels can now be laid out on the prepared belt. To do this, it is better to retreat from the top edge 1 centimeter. When planting seeds, a certain distance must be observed. This is so that the seedlings of carrots on toilet paper do not get confused. After the performed procedures, you need to roll the tape into a roll. The roll is placed in a container, filled with a small amount of water and covered with foil. Now the makeshift greenhouse can be placed in a warm place. Check from time to time whether the seeds have sprouted or not. If sprouts appear, you can transfer them to open ground, and if not, you will have to redo the whole procedure again. By planting carrots with ready-made seedlings, you can get the maximum amount of harvest. Planting carrots on toilet paper is very simple and convenient. It is very important to see how many seeds have sprouted.

    How to glue carrot seeds on toilet paper yourself

    A ready-made tape with carrot seeds bought in a store is, of course, very convenient, but why overpay if you can do everything yourself. At the store, tape is made from loose-textured paper and toilet paper is a great alternative. Of course, you can also use newspaper waste paper, but printing ink is applied on it, and it obviously will not add useful qualities to the future harvest. So it's best to use regular toilet paper. The roll width is, of course, very large and you will need to cut it into strips 2 centimeters wide. It is better to cut the paper lengthwise, this will allow you to make a long tape.

    After preparing the paper, you can start sowing carrot seeds. Don't need to glue very close together. Approximate placement of seeds on a tape of 2.5 centimeters. In order for the seeds to stick to the homemade tape, they must be glued. Regular PVA glue is clearly not suitable here, you can prepare the glue yourself. Below is the quickest and easiest recipe for making glue.

    Making homemade glue for planting carrots on toilet paper

    The glue is very easy to prepare. For cooking, you need the following ingredients:

    • water;
    • flour or potato starch.

    The cooking procedure is pretty simple. Take 1 glass of water, 1 teaspoon of flour or starch. The previously prepared dry mixture is poured into boiling water. You can also add any mineral fertilizer to such glue, it will not be superfluous. When the paste mixture is ready, it must be cooled, applied to paper and you can start planting seeds. Planting carrot seeds on toilet paper with glue is done with tweezers or a cotton swab dipped in water.

    Before you start rolling the roll with the planted carrot seeds, you need to wait until the paste is completely dry to avoid the layers of paper sticking together. Now you can put the roll into a bag, first make an inscription about the type of carrot.

    Preparing the soil for planting toilet paper-grown carrots

    To make it easier for the seeds to germinate, it is necessary to properly prepare the soil through the soil before planting. It is best to dig up the earth in the fall, so the earth will be able to rest during the winter. Before starting seasonal work, two weeks before that, you need to rake through the beds. Do not forget that carrots are planted on toilet paper a little earlier, because glued seeds will germinate a little longer than directly into the ground. Even with the highest seed germination, this period increases by several weeks.

    There is no need to delay planting seeds, because the autumn root crop simply does not have time to ripen in a season.

    Disembarkation

    After complete preparation of the soil and seeds, you can start planting in open ground. Immediately before disembarking, you need to fluff the ground again with a rake. Then grooves are made and abundantly soaked warm water... On the grooves made, strips of toilet paper with seeds are laid out. Be sure to place the seeds facing the soil. All that is required from the gardener is to lay the tape in the grooves and sprinkle them with earth. After that, you need to cover the beds with black plastic and leave in this form for a couple of weeks.

    Outcome

    In this way, not only carrot seeds can be germinated, it can also be used for planting other vegetable crops, such as lettuce, herbs and many others that have small seeds.

    Sowing carrot seeds on toilet paper is very convenient. In the future, it will not be necessary to walk through the beds and thin out very dense shoots. In addition, thinning can damage the already germinated "embryos" of carrots. Therefore, it is better to start planting seeds on toilet paper even in winter, when there is a lot of free time. And as practice shows, it is very easy to accomplish this, the main thing is desire.

    Detailed instructions on how to grow carrots on toilet paper in the video:

    Thursday, 04 February 2016 07:19 + in the quote pad

    This year, in order to make it easier for ourselves, we decided to sow carrots using a sowing belt. I loved this idea because planting carrots on paper makes the garden a lot easier! There is no need to do thinning under the scorching sun, and in summer it is very tiring and takes a lot of time, which can be spent on rest ...

    Background

    Last year, I was so unhappy with the germination of carrots, I even told myself that this year I don’t want to plant them at all, but spring came and I wanted to have my own young carrots in July - from my garden, after all, it is sweeter every 100 times.

    And one more point in favor of the sowing tape - if after planting the carrots there is a good downpour, then the carrots sown just like that, may "leak" - most likely this is what happened with me last year (after planting it rained for several days).

    I think that many gardeners are now trying to sow carrots on tape, and I decided to deepen this issue not only for myself, but also for you, dear readers. So how do you use the seed band correctly for the best germination result? And are there any alternatives to tape? We'll figure out…

    Preliminary soil preparation

    Properly prepared soil is very important for the germination of carrots. And our beds will have to be prepared two weeks before planting, and not according to the principle - I came to the dacha, dug up, loosened up, planted, and all this in two days off.

    A week before planting, or preferably two, it is necessary to loosen the soil to a depth of 10 cm, after which we must immediately take a rake and level the bed. Of course, this means the earth dug up in the fall on a shovel bayonet.

    Laying the tape with seeds

    Immediately before sowing, we loosen the bed again, make shallow grooves - two centimeters, and put the sowing tape in the furrow. Then gently pour a small amount of water and cover it with earth. It is very easy to level the ground and water it again - carefully so as not to wash off the soil from the tape.

    Gardener's Secret: with the help of ripe compost, laid in a layer of half a centimeter, you can significantly increase germination!

    We glue the seeds on paper ourselves

    Another find recipe is that you can make a seeding tape with carrot seeds yourself! To do this, we take paper with a loose texture (toilet or newspaper paper is well suited), cut it lengthwise into strips 2 cm wide.

    From each half we make a sowing tape as follows: we brew a paste of starch or flour, drip onto paper and put carrot seeds in 2.5 cm increments.

    The paste is made like this - for 1 glass of water 1 tsp. starch or flour.

    There is also a tricky way - take two-layer toilet paper, peel it a little from the edge and put seeds between the layers.

    There was also an interesting proposal from one summer resident on the forum - do not cut the roll of toilet paper lengthwise, but simply fold the paper in half, sticking the seeds, gradually winding the roll, see the photo below ... It saves time and making the tape itself, and planting!

    You can additionally fertilize our sowing tape - add mineral fertilizers to the water for making the paste. The ratio is - based on 1 liter of water, a tablespoon of mineral fertilizer.

    You can glue the seeds in winter, before the start of the summer season. You must admit that in winter there is usually nothing much to do, so there is more than enough free time.

    Planting carrots on napkins

    I found another interesting option for planting carrots - on napkins. The principle is similar to ribbons, with the only difference that you immediately form a bed by gluing the seeds in the way your root crops will grow.

    At home, prepare napkins by sticking carrot seeds in 5 cm increments in a row and between rows.

    Well, you are already laying out your napkins on the garden bed and sprinkle it with a layer of soil. It turns out an immediately formed bed that does not need to be thinned out.

    What seeds to take

    For gluing, it is better to take high-quality, varietal seeds, their germination will be better, and the result will please in the fall. And this method of gluing seeds to paper will save them from disappearing.

    Dragee carrot seeds are also on sale, they are easier to stick, but they require more watering at first, since the seed is, as it were, inside a pea made of fertilizers and filler.They need some time to swell and give moisture to the seed inside. But the plus is that the sprout will immediately have nutrition and the growth of the seedling will be optimal.

    findings

    In the same way, you can make a sowing tape with seeds of other vegetables and herbs with small seeds, for example, lettuce, dill, celery. Than in the summer in a kneeling position to engage in thinning, it is better to make a paper tape with seeds in advance and not know grief. Winter is long, what else to do if not prepare for the sowing season.

    These are the tricks I learned about planting carrots on paper. As you can see, there are more expensive options - and more economical, with more labor costs (which, of course, will pay off later) and with less! We approach the garden creatively, comrades! We enjoy, so to speak, the process!

    In conclusion, watch the video which shows how to plant carrot seeds on a tape in the ground

    Correct seeding of carrots on tape and planting on toilet paper

    Categories:

    Many people are waiting for spring to open the summer season and start planting vegetables. First of all, they prepare a personal plot, buy seeds, plant seedlings in order to harvest in the fall and enjoy them on long winter evenings.

    Experienced gardeners prefer to plant carrots on toilet paper.

    Before planting a crop in the ground, the grains are germinated. Most often, planting is done using toilet paper, on which you need to stick the seeds. This is a progressive method, proven over the years. The method can be used for all seeds, including especially small ones - carrots. Most summer residents who have tried this remedy at least once begin to use it constantly. In stores, carrots are sold on a tape, but they cost several times more than an ordinary bag of seeds. Therefore, in order to reduce costs, such a tape can be prepared by hand.

    Germinating seeds

    Despite the large number of other methods, this method is popular with summer residents. You can sow seedlings for germination in a regular box filled with soil, in a saucer, and in a damp cloth. Planting in the ground does not guarantee the germination of crops. But it also requires constant control over humidity.

    Germinating seeds in toilet paper is much more convenient. Let's highlight the main advantages of the method:

    • Saving space. Even if a large number of bags with different seeds are prepared, this does not matter.
    • Preservation of moisture. Constant control over it is not required here.
    • The clarity of the method. Everyone will be able to personally verify that the seeds have sprouted and can be further transferred to open ground.

    Good seeds and those that will not bear fruit are clearly visible on paper.

    How seeds germinate

    Germinating carrot seeds on toilet paper is easy. You can do this yourself with your own hands. What is needed to apply the method:

    • toilet paper (three-layer);
    • sprayer;
    • dense polyethylene;
    • small capacity.

    Cut the polyethylene into strips 7-8 cm wide. Make the length you need. A vegetable variety is prescribed on each strip, which is necessary if more than one type of carrot is purchased. Toilet paper is laid on top of the film. Use a sprayer to moisten the paper well. For greater efficiency, special preparations can be diluted in water.

    The process is not complicated and very convenient; moreover, it does not require special care for the seedlings. You can see if all the carrot seeds have sprouted. If after a certain time the sprouts have not appeared, then given view carrots in the future should not be purchased.

    Arrange the carrot grains on the prepared ribbon. Step back 1 cm from the upper edge. In case of good germination and leaving in this form for a long time, so that the seeds do not get entangled with each other, it is necessary to maintain a distance. After the performed manipulations, roll the tape into a roll. Then everything will happen without your participation. Place the roll in the container so that the lower edge of the tape is at the bottom. Pour in some water, cover with plastic, and send the homemade greenhouse to a warm place. After a while, check the seedlings. If they appear, then transfer the seedlings to open ground, if not, repeat the procedure.

    Planting carrots with seedlings allows you to get the maximum yield

    Sowing carrots in the ground

    Quite often, carrots are planted directly in the open ground. But since the grains are very small, it is difficult to plant them immediately at a certain distance. Therefore, after germination, the plant has to dive, and this is fraught with negative consequences. Indeed, during transplantation, the culture can be damaged, and it is not known how it will endure the dive, so many people prefer to thin out and discard excess seedlings.

    In addition, it often happens that a lot of planting time is spent and the seeds are immediately scattered from each other at a decent distance. But suddenly it started to rain ... What is happening with planting material? He just floats away and then comes out in the most unexpected places of the garden.

    To prevent this from happening, initially sow the carrot seeds on toilet paper. This will help you keep it in place. And you can forget about the pick. It will grow through the paper, take root and stay in place. Such tapes can be made even in winter, and in summer it will only be necessary to plant them in the ground.

    For sowing, it is better to take high-quality seed so that later you do not have to wait for seedlings all summer. Materials needed for the process: glue and toilet paper. Make strips of paper 2-3 cm wide. Lubricate it with homemade glue and use tweezers to transfer the seeds, placing them at a certain distance from each other.

    If you don't want to mess around with glue, then you can take two-layer paper. Pushing the layers apart, it is necessary to carefully nest the grains between them.

    The paper strip method can also be used for outdoor planting

    Preparing home glue

    To glue the seeds, you need glue. But PVA will not work here. You need a homemade paste, which will not be difficult to prepare. You will need the following ingredients:

    • 1 glass of water;
    • 1 tsp flour or potato starch.

    To prepare the paste, add the prepared dry mixture to boiling water. If desired, you can add some kind of mineral fertilizer to the paste. Cool the mixture and get down to business. Lubricate the paper with the cooled paste and glue the seeds. You can glue them with tweezers or a damp cotton swab. Wait until it is completely dry before rolling the strip into a roll, so that later you do not have to peel it off. Place the roll in a bag by signing the carrot variety.

    You can make a paste in a matter of minutes

    Preparing the soil for planting

    In order for the carrot seeds to sprout well and amicably, the soil should be prepared for planting. It is best to dig up the earth in the fall, so it can have a good rest. Two weeks before the start of the spring seasonal work, take a rake through the dug-up beds. Remember the timing. Sowing carrots must be done a little earlier, since the seeds glued with paste to the tape will not germinate. Even if the seeds were chosen well, you will have to wait about three weeks.

    Do not delay sowing, otherwise the autumn root crop will not have enough time to fully ripen.

    Soil for carrots should be well loosened

    Landing

    The carrots are ready for planting, the beds too, you can start sowing in open ground. We take a rake and re-harrow the bed prepared for sowing, after which we make grooves and thoroughly saturate them with warm water. We spread unfolded strips of ribbons along the grooves, the seeds should be turned towards the soil.

    Another advantage of this method. To do this, imagine how to sow seeds in the wind. When landing in this way, neither wind nor rain is terrible.

    All that is required of you is to put the seeds pasted with paste on paper and sprinkle them with earth. Now cover the planting with black plastic and leave it there for about 1.5-2 weeks.

    Method advantages

    • ribbons are prepared in a comfortable environment;
    • clear distribution of seeds over the entire surface;
    • sow them at the same depth, which is also important. Thanks to this approach, seedlings will be friendly;
    • crops are not afraid of any weather conditions;
    • the method saves the family budget, because everything can be done with your own hands;
    • easy care in the first weeks: no need to water or weed, even the carrot fly has no opportunity to lay eggs.

    Thus, carrot seeds glued to tape with paste are a good planting method. vegetable crops, moreover, it is completely safe for humans.
